PGA will now be exposed to taking Saudi money and many other things
pga crooked as hell…non-profit my ass…shut them down.….
pga thinks they own golf.…they do not serve their members.….they are self-serving.…
Do you complain about the NFL for the salary cap, franchise tag and the “rookie salary”. How is that not player abuse and that doesn’t include hiding CTE.
@Michael Fong where you’re wrong is football you are employed by an owner. The owners vote on things like raising the salary cap. A golfer is an independent contractor and has the right to earn as much money wherever he or she sees fit. The pga tour is fear mongering and will probably lose this suit if even makes it to court
GO CRUSHERS !!!!
pga was the better product ..not now.…
tiger,rory jt pga useful idiots.…jay money-ham is a shyster.…
I am thoroughly intrigued by this whole thing but one thing kinda gets me…i get a little confused by the whole “they’re suing all of us” comments. If that was the case wouldn’t all of the players have made the decision that said that the LIV players could no longer play in any PGA event, because thats what the suit is all about right? They still want the flexibility to play PGA Tour events but Jay came out and said that they were banned from all PGA events. As far as I’ve seen that wasn’t something that was voted on by all of the PGA players it was a decision made by the Commish…unless they are just trying to take a stand for the company and its more of a mentality than truely believing that each individual is being sued, that part i could get.
They’re suing for a lot more than that
Well aware that they are also chasing other items but that was a bigger one from what people have been saying on the various pods and online…or at least that’s been their focus
It’s sad this panel is still stuck in old archaic ways being sellouts for CBS, NBC the media. LIV Golf is the future!!!
As usual the panel doesn’t understand the by-laws of what constitutes the federal law as per this golf suit. Just spewing unsubstantiated facts.
This lawsuit doesnt surprise me. Those LIV Golfers want their cake and eat it too. The timing of the lawsuit being filed sucks. I feel for the pga tour. We should be in the last week of preparing to put a bow on a great 2021–2022 campaign. Instead Greg Norman wants the spotlight to still be on him. All hell will break loose at our first stop in Memphis if Gooch Jones and Swafford are allowed to play the players. I think the “Antitrust laws” they think are broken are the fact that they want their cake and eat it too. The fact that they want to play both tours is all about keeping their ranking spot in the OWGR. LIV isnt worth any points. Patrick Reed too keep his spot is playing 2 or 3 events on the Asian tour. I think the lawsuit we should be worried about is if LIV tries to sue for OWGR points.
No that’s just the tip of the iceberg
The entire case is a lot uglier than that
@DanielSong39 yeah that is what KP was saying
In the 90s, FTC already found the PGA Tour’s commissioner’s open ended power to suspend members as an antitrust violation. The sanction was not implemented because PGA Tour lobbied some congressmen who then bullied FTC. What’s strange is that this discretionary power from the commissioner is the big item that Nicklaus and the “dancing ladies” in the 60s fought to remove which gave birth to PGA Tour. It seems like history repeating itself. Jack got a lot of flak back then too. Ultimately, the PGA Tour need to fire Monahan. This is all on him.
Unfortunately emotion counts for zip when it comes to the Law. The Law is a cold emotionless entity that only deals in facts as presented by the litigants. To give both sides a chance to develop their cases it is sometimes necessary to delay a hearing with an injunction being granted to enable things to continue until the matter is resolved. The decisions of courts are never set in stone with appeals against decisions allowed. I can see this matter taking sometime to resolve. Precedents in Law are important when resolving disputes, not only in American Law but internationally and are used by Lawyers to make their case.
The 3 players earned and qualified for the FedEx cup and pga tour is changing the rules only NOW to prevent and discriminate against them.
Players are the owners? Jay Monaghan has been getting top 5 in the money list wages each year and he’s just an employee 😂 I hope the outcome is 25 events a year where all the best players play. 14 liv, 4 majors and 6–7 of the 10 that recently for the purse bumps, hope 28 stacked events but they don’t like playing too much 🤣
Didn’t you greedy b******s want to jump the PGA ship that gave you a career?? I thought you were making millions for playing less golf and less well-played golf. Now you want your cake and the cake of the players who are stickin’ with the PGA. You chose to play and take money from the Saudis. They funded and sent terrorists to carry out the 9/11 attacks and murdered an American journalist, just to name two. Take your blood money and shut up. You have no character or morals. No one wants to hear a blippin’ thing you have to say!!
