Um den Ryder Cup 2021 zwi­schen den USA und Euro­pa zu fei­ern, spie­len wir im Bent­ham Golf Club ein Match mit einer Wen­dung. Wir spie­len Green­so­mes Vs Four­so­mes. Ich bekom­me 8 Schlä­ge auf die­sem Platz und mein Part­ner Ebay Pete bekommt 15 und wir spie­len GREENSOMES, ein kom­pe­ti­ti­ves Golf­for­mat für Zwei-Per­so­nen-Teams. Es ist dem Vie­rer sehr ähn­lich. Der ein­zi­ge Unter­schied besteht dar­in, dass bei­de Spie­ler einen Abschlag tref­fen. Der bes­te Abschlag wird dann aus­ge­wählt und ein alter­na­ti­ver Schlag wird bis zum Ende des Lochs gespielt. Das Han­di­cap von Peter Finch ist +4 und Mr. Bar­low, der 15 Schüs­se erzielt, spielt VIERER (ent­we­der im Loch­spiel oder im Zähl­spiel gespielt), bei dem zwei Part­ner als Mann­schaft gegen­ein­an­der antre­ten, indem sie abwech­selnd Schlä­ge auf einen ein­zi­gen Ball machen.   69. Sor­ry Liam but your words were “Pete picks who tees off first”. This implies that whoever tees off first doesn’t tee off on the second. You should have said “Pete deci­des who tees off on all holes for your team”. That would have been clear. Finch and Bar­low have a case for dispute.

That could have been so much bet­ter if you just said that Bar­low always tees off and made it clear, Peter and Bar­low were jus­ti­fied, why use the word “first” if it was always going to be your choice.

    2. @Golf Mates not too bad to be fair alt­hough not play­ing as much as I have wan­ted to other things on the go such as trai­ning for a Vets Fen­cing 🤺 Comp this wee­kend. The Mizu­no irons are fabu­lous, have never struck a ball so clean­ly both on the ran­ge and cour­se. Have to say get­ting a pro­per fit­ting seems to have made a mas­si­ve dif­fe­rence as they are a fur­ther half in lon­ger than the Pings I was fit­ted for at a well known golf retailer.…I haven’t grown sin­ce that fitting 🤣

  162. Not to quib­b­le, but would­n’t take the average of your han­di­caps to get the dif­fe­rence bet­ween the two teams ins­tead of adding tog­e­ther? Team Liam/Pete would be an average stro­ke index of 11.5 and Team Finch/Barlow would be a 5.5. Very good to see Mr. Bar­low on the cour­se again. You all are loo­king qui­te dapper.

If Liam had left off the word “first” he would have had a bet­ter argu­ment. If Liam meant that HE would pick who tees off on the NEXT hole he should have sta­ted that. But it was good fun🙂

  206. When I first star­ted golf I play­ed with a Cariz­ma Bi Pod anti sli­ce dri­ver. Mr B will love it. Scotts­da­le sports had the UK sales rights to it. Loo­ks abso­lute­ly hor­ren­dous but does work real­ly well IMO.

In alter­na­te shot, you alter­na­te EVERY SHOT, SO.…… when you sta­ted the rules you only said (repeated­ly by the way) that E‑bay would choo­se who teed off “first”. Fol­lowing that it’s alter­na­te shot for the REST OF THE MATCH. You did not spe­ci­fy that E‑bay would deci­de who tees off on Each Hole. Tell me if you think I’m wrong and exp­lain why plea­se and thank you.
