  1. It’s tough running a monopoly. Keeping control of all these rogue golfers is tough. I think any entertaining golf is good for the game no matter what tour or series it is.

  2. que Pamelarioss.Uno encantan tus videos. Bendiciones hermosa Celina que Dios te cuide donde quiera los mortalest abian apreciado tan hermosa mujer

  3. Jt and Rory mad they didn’t get big offers. Rory is gonna be banned from doing press now because he say he’s gonna watch liv. Rory and Jt to liv confirmed.!!

    1. @greg rizzo I think it’s fair to assume that if LIV grew and was a credible tour, then there would have to be some inclusion in OWGR. If that didn’t happen, then it would be the OWGR that lacks credibility.

It seems there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge, but as you pointed out, it’s not an immediate issue. There are many players on the LIV tour who automatically qualify due to previous victories and/or current rank.

      Time will tell!

    2. @Ross OWGR requires 72 holes to be played for points to be given, so they would have to change that also, or LIV switch to 72 holes. I don’t see it ever being more than a glorified money grab exhibition.

    3. @greg rizzo You’re probably right! Watch this space I guess… LIV only put their submission in last week regarding OWGR points so will have to wait and see what happens.

I’m not going to jump to any conclusions, but knowing how much money has been poured into this, I would be surprised if the whole thing imploded immediately.

  4. But David Duval is perfectly ok carrying the PGA’s water because he chooses to overlook the fact that the PGA is in bed with Communist China whose human rights record is horrific. Ever heard of the Uyghurs? Guess he didn’t teach his kids about that. The selective outrage is sickening. Duval looks like an uninformed meat head….which he obviously is🙄

  5. The PGA Tour and the LIV Golf Tour both take their money from the Rothschilds, the Vatican bankers for the AntiChrist Papacy, so the moral argument doesn’t work. The proof should be in the pudding, so why is the PGA Tour so contentious, because the pudding may be better in ways.

    1. PGA tour made 1.1 billion last year , the top players work for them. Look at NBA, imagine a NBA player gets payed only by winning while the NBA makes dollars out of their media rights.

    1. Yea… maybe some more players on their downhill side of their career wanting to play 6–8 tournaments a year…👍😅

  6. When the PGA tour recognizes that youtubers like Not A Scratch Golfer, Rick Schiels, Peter Finch, etc. are tremendous for the growth of the sport (because they really are) I don’t think we can trust the PGA really cares about growing the sport. This is going to be a crazy opinion to some but they remind me of the promoters and sanctioning body of Supercross and Motocross…heavy hitters that aren’t doing much to actually grow the sport but to rather get more money.

This all being said, I don’t believe the Saudi’s give a crap about the sport either…they’re opportunists.…so it’s a little disingenuous to say Liv is “good for the sport.”.…it will remain to be seen.

    1. Don’t disagree with your views on what’s best for the sport in principle, but I’m not sure about their relevance in this specific situation, which really boils down to a contractual dispute (legally, a potential tort – I’m sure that’s coming).
So I’m also not sure what the role, good or otherwise, of club pro YouTuber coaches like Rick Shiels have to do with any of this in those terms. The PGA has its weaknesses for sure, but that’s not what this is really about. This is Packer-like attempted coup.
I certainly agree with your last points.

  7. If the aim of being a professional golfer is to get paid, then these LIV blokes just won.

How pathetic for “The Tour” to suspend them. They’re supposed to be growing the game, and as far as I can tell, LIV just grew the game and gave more opportunity to golfers than the PGA Tour have done in a while.

Maybe work WITH them and not against them then everyone can win!?

  8. I will suspend my support of all PGA sponsors.….….LIV Golf deserves a chance and the players should not be penalized. This game goes both ways.

    1. PGA tour made 1.5 billion last year, the top players worked for them. Look at how much money élite players made in the NBA

  9. As much as I despise Norman, these golfers are independent contractors. They should play where they wish…or not, for whatever reasons.

  10. PGA Tour… PleaseGoAway Tour more likely… pay to get your “handicap” so we can pay the top 15 golfers a descent paycheck while the rest of the pros aren’t getting what they should… and know body cares about the RBC

  11. The US government has killed countless innocents and destroyed communities by starting proxy wars across the planet to line the pockets of politicians and company executives. But somehow we have some sort of moral highground over Saudi Arabia? This is laughable. Let’s also point out all of the PGA merchandise that’s manufactured in China. While we’re at it, let’s talk about all of the imported oil that we buy from Saudi Arabia. A professional golf league is morally irreproachable, so why do folks keep calling LIV golf the “Saudi backed” golf league. If the Saudis were funding an orphanage or a cancer research facility, would everyone be tacking “Saudi backed” on the front of it? This is nothing but defamatory propaganda, and Greg Norman, has strong grounds to sue these news outlets for defamation.

  12. I don’t care if these losers ever play on PGA again. I know they are making a lot of money. Yet soon their world ranking will drop and no more majors , no Ryder Cup, no presidents cup. See ya!

  13. The morality issue they speak of is incredibly laughable– especially from players from US – look in the mirror man– you’re government has killed millions in the middle east–Droned and killed innocent families including their children on several occasions–destroyed nations like Libya– YOU HAVE ZERO MORAL HIGH GROUND–ZERO you live your life in ignorant propaganda bliss– I love Golf but the PGA is boring as fuck– as some commented You tubers do a better job for growing the game–Bryson’s youtube channel is more interesting than the PGA– the guys saying they won’t go today are the same guys that will go tomorrow-it’s only a matter of time– outside of the majors, the players and one or 2 other events the rest are not that exciting– unless Tigers in the mix— then they complain about the money aspect–sell outs to money–and? the PGA is trying to protect their league for what exactly? to keep their monopoly on golf…and make the money— Bring it on–I’ll be watching LIV- the PGA-Asia tour and whatever else interests me…

  14. The PGA Tour does not own “the players” they qualify and work their asses off to make the tour and play. i have much respect for what the PGA Tour has done for golf etc.. but did the Canadian tour ban Mike Wier when he made the PGA Tour? Did the European tour banned Rory, Lee Westwood and many others for coming to America to play? Absolutely not because they knew if and when Rory or others made an appearance back in their country or played a tournament on the European tour that event would see more spectators and get more coverage than ever. If I was a tour player the response and actions of the PGA would really make me rethink my commitment and furthermore their commitment to the players who represent and made the PGA Tour what it is. LIV is good for golf, the PGA should be happy and maybe look at the positive expansion of the game instead of the dollars or hurt to their image

    1. @Madison Mathews I don’t think it’s easy to know anymore since most of the top players stats will be scrubbed due to the ban. You should be able to see top players according to the PGA website though. Just note due to PGA monopoly the stats may not reflect every golfer in the world.

  15. JT must have gotten a check from the PGA… don’t know how he’s become the spokes person for the PGA. Looking forward to more guys leaving the PGA.

    1. So they can play maybe 6–8 tournaments a year? Not gonna happen… and least not for the young guns. LIV may get a few more on the downhill side of their careers like the 12 or so that left… maybe.

  16. So you can play on the PGA tour and the European tour be a member on both but not for this new league not saying I’m for the liv tour but doesn’t make sense on why the are banned

  17. How could an amateur qualify for a LIV tournament? I understand the PGA process, but haven’t heard or read anything on how LIV handles qualifying.

  18. Like every industry, competition is good for quality of overall product.. PGA may be scared but golf fans should be pumped

    1. You ever left one job to go make more money somewhere else? You ever left a job because you weren’t happy with your employer? You only consider it a sellout because of the amount of money at stake but it’s no different than what I just mentioned.

    2. @Tim Darnell There are some similarities, but I mostly disagree with what you’re saying in this case. This has a lot more to do with an organization which is public-facing, and its members and their notoriety directly help bring in revenue for this organization which has supported their careers providing opportunities and venues and jobs to all the courses and causes it supports. Multiple players exiting at the same time directly impact the organization which is public-facing. Sure they can leave, but besides the obvious chasing of the $$, it’s a much greater impact in magnitude compared to one leaving an accounting job to join a different accounting firm to make 10% more money.

  19. Feed you family guys and don’t regret It. You made it this far so play for money, then When you make enough to sit comfortably, then play for your legacy.

  20. The PGA Tour is so petty for this type of thing… YouTube golf is more entertaining than the tour nowadays anyways, hopefully it just fades away into more leagues this and golf becomes less pretentious in the near future! 🤙

  21. It’s not surprising that golfers are taking the Saudis money the surprise is the fan that cheer it on…..because this is the same crowd that wanted to file a law suite against the Saudis for 911 but hey money Trumps all that I guess.

  22. The PGA is a stagnant anachronism. Jay Monahan has not done his job to modernize the PGA and make it more pallatible for the players. Time for a new PGA Chairman.

  23. David Duval – really??? The example you set for your kids was flaunting the Nike swoosh for years. I suppose you didn’t get paid for that great example? Or are you really oblivious to what that means and the atrocities associated with Nike manufacturing? Truly laughable!

  24. I have not heard anyone say whats the difference from playing in the LIV tour compared to PGA members playing on the European tour. Sure you have to play so many PGA events to keep your card but then your can go right ahead and play some European tour events. Whats the difference? Or is the PGA just pissed at the money being given ? It’s also kind of funny that the PGA banned 10 players who already quit. I quit , NO your fired!

    1. The PGA Tour and European Tour aren’t directly competing with each other. They’ve signed a number of joint ventures together. They share sponsorships, events that are sanctioned on both tours, Monahan sits on the board of the European Tour now as well, the PGA Tour has stakes in European Tour Productions, they’ve signed deals to restructure prize money and scheduling, a lot of other things. LIV is directly competing against both tours.

    1. No, but they have associated themselves with a criminal régime. In the current climate these golfers had an opportunity to stand up to a corrupt régime but instead they sold themselves out. Very disappointing.

    2. @barry o’sullivan they are just playing golf mate. As if America isn’t doing trade with countries with what we call shady. The PGA isn’t happy about competition

    3. @barry o’sullivan yet America & Saudi Arabia are large traders……. Why is that fine, yet a PGA member not allowed to play in a golf tournament. Seems hypocritical. Why are Russian tennis players allowed to play in US tournaments when war crimes are being made by their country.

  25. Good for the PGA they have made these players multimillionaires
And that’s the thanks they give by running away for more money.
I’ll be watching PGA events and never watching LIV golf. My family is about human rights for women and children.

  26. Hi guys, I’m a slow learner. I’m not getting why PGA is so much against with LIV? What was the biggest reason behind all this? I thought LIV is just another league of golf. Can anyone explain to me, please?

    1. I think they pga is afraid of competition and losing their prime spot is all. If they were putting golfers first they wouldn’t be so crazy.

    2. Media rights, competitive league will allow players to own their media rights hence free agent which is a threat to the PGA tour since they profit a lot from players media rights.

  27. These guys better live up to their big contracts with the Saudis or they will be invited to lunch at their embassy and never be heard from again. These dudes do not mess around. Good luck boys. This will not turn out well.

    1. You think DJ will be taken down for a Saturday morning stoning if he makes too many bogeys?

Come on… we all like having a laugh, but you’re getting a bit carried away now!

  28. I kind of funny when PGA talking about human rights play where they want is human rights PGA doesn’t control the world of golf tournaments

  29. It’s only a game of golf and they are professional players, they should have the opportunity to play anywhere they choose. Does the PGA own players ??? maybe their membership is archaic and needs to be brought up to date. Maybe both parties are thinking money money money.

    1. Well PGA is an association and they are member of that association. I don’t know about you, but if I want to be part of some club, I usually follow their rules. And these player freely decided (as you put it yourself) they will play for another association, breaking the rules of their previous association. And this association has every right to deny them participation in the events that they organize. Kind of simple if you think about it…

    2. @killer angel Because it’s 48 player competition. You think it is possible not to have a cut with 300 players on a tournament?

    1. Personally I’m a fan of keeping social justice out of pro sports. Don’t let pro-golf turn into formula 1 where every driver has their pet social project they can’t seem to stop promoting while working for their team. It’s irritating to be constantly guilt tripped by millionaires.

  30. So is the Golf Channel a channel about golf or a PGA channel? If it’s a golf channel, then perhaps they should show some highlights from the LIV tour! I thought the 1st round went well. Good format, coverage, pace of play and the announcers did a good job. Oh, and the golf was pretty good.

    1. @Aguy from NH ya, if they were a legitimate media outlet they would cover liv. I’ve never once heard the golf channel disclose that they are essentially pr for the pga. It’s obvious, but they should still state their position.

    2. I watched day 1 and will be watching day 2 today and I was very impressed. The fact that I could watch via YouTube while at work was a huge plus, non stop action. I think it will continue to get better as the tour progresses.

    1. I’m glad LIV exists but let’s not pretend it’s realistic for any business to hand a competitor “assets” to compete for their market share.

  31. Rory is an idiot. I’m not sure why anyone would listen to him. He is a puppet of the PGA. If any of these players say they are staying with the PGA because of love of the game, then they are liars. They all play golf for one reason. Being able to earn a living playing a game.
The most interesting players have joined the LIV. I will watch LIV.

  32. Their is two sides but the way I see it , MLB, NFL or NBA players can’t play in another league and pick and choose what they participate in. This might be a solo sport, but it’s still a sport with a League. Now their is a competing one. IMO the field was kinda garbage and the very few noticeable golfers participating will start regretting it when they can’t play in majors. I’m with the PGA on this one . They were pretty clear so they should pick where they play & live with it .

    1. Yea. But the Golfers play on the PGA Tour! Until now. I understand the technicality of what you are saying, so not really disagreeing I suppose but it is what it is.

    2. They will still be able to play in majors. Those arent organized by the PGA Tour. Unless those committees come out and say they will be barred from competing in them, nothing will change for majors.

    3. Apples and oranges that can’t be compared. PGA players have no contract like in other sports. Plus, players become free agents and can pick and choose where they play. Those leagues aren’t monopolies like the PGA.

    4. @Matt Muirhead 😅 Dam… a lot of uneducated people posting on here. What is the PGA Championship? A major. The Masters has already said they have to be in good standing and The Open has said as much. The U.S. Open is accepting players with exemptions so there’ll be about 3 or 4 of those players that will be able to play in ONE major.

  33. well, PGA just drew the line in the sand, time for everyone to pick sides… shame, BCS i wanted to support both.. i guess the PGA can kiss my ass, for being twats about it

    1. Nope. Display of American business decisions and market competition, as well as contractual obligations as a part of a wholesome legal system.

  34. I learned in grade school that in a competitive capitalist world more choices is better for the consumer. PGA + LIV = better for golf community.

    1. Both the PGA and LIV do nothing for the average golfer except drive up the price of equipment thanks to insane endorsement money, which is now wholly unaffordable for many.

    2. I have no interest in third grade golf tournaments, which is about all that the LIV events amount to. There is zero prestige attached to the highly overpaid LIV circus.

  35. PGA leadership = NCAA leadership.… useless. A global tour like the surfing pro tour is the future. Going to the premier golf courses around the world is what’s happening. Major every week.… why not? Politics… US is fighting wars in Africa and the Middle East right now.…. Duval is a dumbass… take his moral high ground and shove it.

  36. Apart from the majors, watching the PGA tour is super boring. It’s getting old. There is nothing new and exciting about it. At least LIV is something new and fresh. Time for some change.

  37. So what happens to someone who is not a member of the PGA tour and plays in Liv golf? will they be allowed to later go to Qschool to try to earn a card?

    1. PGA are gonna be in a tough position, don’t they realise that the players draw out fans and that makes more money for them. Wouldn’t be surprised if they allow those players back.

  38. If the PGA were truly comfortable with their position on the golf viewer totem pole, they wouldn’t be lashing out. They are injured already and perhaps may be on life support if LIV catches fire.

    1. Injured??😅 From what? A dozen golfers past their prime, on their downhill side of their career jumping ship? Don’t really have much of a head for business do you?😅

    2. But in a league that generates $1.5B in revenue you can’t monetarily compete with an entity with a bottomless pit of cash that allows itself to pay guys 9 figure deals just to join. But I don’t see them crumbling with the percentage of guys who want to stay.

  39. I will continue to watch men’s golf.……wherever Tiger is playing!! No Tiger, no watch! These boys playing anti-American golf better be careful. Those Saudi folks are as shady as their oil prices!!

  40. Just adore the way the golf media is haemorrhaging about LIV, AND the hypocrisy with accusations about ’sports-washing’ when NOTHING is said about the PGA’s association with China – the largest violator of human-rights – HYPOCRITES! Then there’s this talk about greed, how does the PGA cater to guys that just miss the cut 46 weeks of the year, get paid a measly, possibly, $2k a week and are expected to make a living while adding meet to the PGA tour. Pfft!

  41. First the PGA had to react asap as they have. Now the reality of it will just become part of life’s landscape and the real golfers will focus on the Canadian Open where they’re playing a national, not some 54 hole retiree golf. If it were not for this amount of dollars attached to it, this would get no play beyond today. Who’n hell had cared about Phil going on to play mostly on the senior tour, Charles Schwartzel, Westwood etc? These guys had their day in the sun and now at their sunset the Saudi money came, ok. Great. But who’n hell cares. As for Poulter, his status was becoming that of an average pro, though he had a name. I guess he did it in order to ensure that his garage was always going to be filled with exotic wheels. Each had their story, but they’re over now. Let’s move on. Please, no more crap about 54 hole retiree events. Ugh.
As for Kevin Na and others, well, who wouldn’t take guaranteed millions over some four or five years. Now, yes, let’s move on. Get backl to real golf. PGA , good work.

    1. Not really. A monopoly would be the PGA filing injunctions to prevent players from choosing to play anywhere else. Telling players that make that choice to go elsewhere that they aren’t welcome to play for you while playing for a competition is fairly capitalistic in nature. Letting players play both would likely rank the tour, as without some downside risk nothing would be there to stop every top player from playing in LIV and making the PGA obsolete.

    2. @Matt not true. Why do u think the bold print suspended indefinitely? They are stating if you play for LIV and if that league fails, your career is over. U can’t ever come back to PGA. That is not free market. That is what someone who owns the whole market would say.

  42. If I made 75 million as a result of playing the PGA tour I would be pretty thankful and not have to worry so much about what is best for my family. When is enough enough?

    1. It’s a PC response to not piss off the PGA if the LIV doesn’t work out. Most of these guys are just gonna come out and say how they really feel about the PGA.

    2. 75 million is not net, these players have huge taxes, bills etc…As well as gift tax, if they want to give their kids and family members millions of dollars each, they are taxed for this too at an outrageous price. So stop acting like they aren’t allowed to want more to give there families in the future. 75 million is not actually 75 million.

  43. Tiger … where are you on this?

Would love to see you make a change. Remember the way Fuzzy Zoeller treated you on that first win in Augusta? I doubt you’d get the same outside of the old man’s club.

  44. The fact that the PGA has the support of the main stream media tells me all I need to know. Thanks to the internet, more and more are waking up to how corrupt our world is. Every time they fix one leak, three more appear on this sinking ship.

  45. David Duval must be wearing clown shoes. “I wonder if any thought has ever gone in to the examples you set for your wife and children…” GTFOH 🤡

  46. It is hilarious to me how people are so outraged by the Saudi’s actions while wearing brands like Nike that run child sweatshops in third world countries XD. These people act like they are so morally superior.

    1. That is what employers do. Those who do not like it can leave. Why do you even care? You do not live their lifestyle and you should say the same about Mc Donalds employees who complain about their jobs. That is on your level.

    2. @The truth For now The PGA is not their employer. It doesn’t pay just because your there. You don’t make the cut, tough shit. It brings performers to it’s stage. Now if the player signed a contract, then I could see the PGA’ s side. Players are independent workers. They go where the money is.

    3. @Mike McDonald okay they left and went for the money. We all leave jobs at some point for more money. But once we leave there is no looking back. The reason they made so much money is because the PGA is a top shelf product. They secure the best courses and improve on them. That costs money. If the PGA was rinky dink viewers would not be watching and the purses would be like the Hogan tour or whatever they are calling the tour below. Pros who graduate to the PGA are in awe of the first class treatment and the organization of the PGA. That takes money.

  47. Interesting how they waited for Phil to commit to Liv and then they make this savage announcement lol… ie fuck u Phil lol

  48. These guys really need to get off their high-and-mighty…
99.9% of Saudi’s had nothing to do with any of the morality play going on. We have danced with the devil on many many occasions. thru history. They are still an ally and we as country still do all kinds of business with them. Let’s keep it about golf, ok? The PGA just doesn’t want to share the sandbox, period!

  49. you know what i love this guy even tho i like LIV hes honest and truthfull in his answers and you can tell by the quick response

  50. If someone offers me double the amount of money for less hours of work, Ill definitely go for it. 72 holes vs 54. Also the golfers that don’t make the cut in PGA, don’t get paid anything, whereas everybody gets paid in the LIV. The PGA is acting like a dictatorship…

    1. Yeah, but only handful of players get paid, because it’s 48-man competition. If you wanna get to that level, for the Saudi organizers wanting to sign you, you still have to go trough PGA tour. There are no junior tournaments, there is no admission to 200th best player in the world. You are in only if you are a proven player. And they don’t give 22-yearold a chance to prove themselves unless they already won n major. Nobody else, but those high profile players gets their fair chance in these events. Everybody still have to climb to their status through PGA events. So it actually does nothing for the sport. It’s a small millionaire’s private club, nothing more than that. PGA does all the work, and they just want to skim the cream…

  51. PGA golf is about to get shitter. the majority of viewers watch golf because they want to see certain players and there aren’t many favorites Tiger woods has to be #1 then Phil, Dustin, and Bryson, if these guys aren’t in it do you really care if you miss a day of viewing? yeah, you may be interested in the weekend play but without these guys playing it’s not the same. No one has stepped up to take over the spotlight like the 4 mentioned. if this is about some moral reasoning because they don’t like players playing for people that are connected with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi why don’t they direct their energy at the government, the government is still in business with Saudis, even after the murder and the US never even imposed sanctions? the PGA is acting like children and attacking the players for no good reason. players got bills to pay and momma needs new shoes. fans just want to watch their favorite players play golf and if this new league gives us more options all the better. if you don’t like it, don’t watch it. FORE 🏌️‍♀️⛳

    1. Lol! You seriously think people only tune in for Phil, Bryson and DJ?🤔 You do realize the last 3 months they’ve been in 4 tournaments… COMBINED. Record attendance and viewership this spring… sorry. They’re not gonna be missed.

    2. @Lake Ozark REI people absolutely do. You’re lying to yourself if you think the big names in golf aren’t what drive ticket sales and viewership. Proven winners like Phil, Rory, and DJ don’t play often so when they do it’s a huge boost to revenues, same goes for the other big names still in the PGA.

  52. How is the PGA Tour a 501C? MLB and NFL use to have this status, they lost it. NBA never had it probably because historically among the NFL, MLB and NBA, the NBA was always historically more the niche sport. Golf because it has always done charity in the past would historically be a 501C. But today, are they really a 501C? How many 501C’s have Pension plans like the PGA has?

  53. Who cares wat the PGA, dase to these players that playing in the liv tournament, every baddy in the field is guaranteed, a pay day awesome yep, the PGA don’t like a new competitor, that they are facing, yea they thought nothing gonna stop them from the strong hold they hav on professional golf, but guess wat, the boogi golf man has come to the forefront, with a nother golf idea, its call LIV, GOLF over 40 in the field an more to come from the PGA, RANKS, well done mormmy, an theirs still plenty more room for a nother golfing, idea, like they say all good things come to an end, an new thing sprout again , just like the food chain line, cars, truck, trains plane, an many other business around the world, so MR, PGA, STOP winging, 👍

  54. It would be so funny if RORY made the change to LIV… he’s definitely getting low key offers from them… So is Ricky… and probably a hand full of others… this is great…

    1. The PGA is puffing. I don’t realistically believe if this league failed they would genuinely refuse to take any players back.

  55. Seems like the PGA does not realize that the players make them what they are. Now they are slowly leaking top players. People may say these players are over the hill but, Phil, DJ, and Sergio just won majors recently. Now two more US Pres Cup and Ryder Cup players are gone.

    1. Lol! Top players? DJ maybe… but it’s been more then 2 years since he last won a major or a tournament, 5+ years for Sergio and Phil at 51 snuck one in last year. They’re all on the downhill side of their career and now just taking the easy $$ lol You did notice that none of the young guns went didn’t you??😅

  56. I guess everyone has a number, if you look at all the major sports teams from NFL, NBA , MLB, NHL the PGA Is like 1.3 million not exact on that number but close, they do have the best retirement plan with all the best medical etc. And you can play golf for decades without taking a physical beating maybe a mental one though. So the PGA don’t have it that bad.

  57. I did the math out earlier. If the PGA (based on revenue/number of players) paid their members the same as the NBA, all players would have a minimum of $500k/year salary.

    1. You mean if they don’t pay any of their employees of course? And don’t organize a single tournament of course? And don’t give anything to charities or youth competitions? And you accounted to all 29,000 members in the US and other ones that are international members as well, of course? I mean I got a significantly different number, but who cares, right… You are just making a point.

  58. PGA lashing out & showing the rest of the PGA players the consequences PGA are all about that olé school plantation platform OWNERS COMMODITY & PROPERTY all PGA players are now owned but it’s good to see professional golf players getting paid their worth respected as players not ordered around for interviews or do this & that for the PGA business & revenue All PGA did was supply players for as lil money as possible for the biggest return & the players are the cash cows for the PGA

    1. 😅🤣I’m sure the slaves on those plantations woulda took the millions 💵 they were making on the PGA tour… 🤡

    2. @Lake Ozark REI They had to take what was give like the professional golf players on the PGA TOUR 🤷🏽‍♂️ & The PGA treating professional golf players like property & using their commodity (Contracts & exemptions)as a threat to keep them all in their place (Plantation)you wanna talk slaves & taking millions That’s the ones that stayed & took what the PGA gave or didn’t & the players that have been cancelled from The PGA presidents cup & other exemptions are the free player’s (slaves) that get treated like human’s & respected as professional golf players not (property)but most of all they get paid their worth & probably more freedom & a choice to play in other tournaments 🤡💯✅

  59. Nobody has addressed the elephant in the room. The Saudi leaders are horrible humans. Any golfer who works for them is risking his soul.

  60. Lol, Duval is a little turd, pissed he didn’t get these kind of opportunities. Moral fool, pretending like he has a compass!

  61. Such a crock of crap. The PGA is a rather pompous, out of touch establishment that seems to care very little about what the fans really want. I keep hearing this reoccurring line about what the PGA is becoming and doing etc. How about sharing that with the golf community because I haven’t seen anything different or exciting happening at all. The LIV tour seems way more interesting and fun and has managed to generate more excitement at least conceptionally in a very short period of time than the PGA has done in my lifetime. I feel like they’re outdated and run by a bunch of “sticks in the mud” who always seem to be on the wrong side of things. It’s rarely a good look for them and this is just another example of that. As a lifelong player and fan of this incredible game we all love I am looking forward to the upcoming LIV tour and hope to see even more players getting big money and having fun instead of a bunch of sour-pussed faces who look like their laying roofing tiles for a living half the time. It’s time for this addition to the sport.

  62. Wonder how many players who denounce liv have ever played in Saudi or surrounding countries through European Tour? 🤔

  63. If the golfers are truly independent contractors as they claim to be, then the PGA has every right to terminate their contracts if they choose to move to help a competitor. Whether it is a good business decision or not remains to be seen.

    1. It’s not a contract, it’s a membership. The PGA tour has had a monopoly on pro golf for decades. Looks to me like the PGA is afraid of some competition.

  64. American golf and players going abroad 🤣. Wait that sounds familiar 🧐 reminds me of our manufacturing industry. We’ll see how much prestige majors and tournaments abroad carry. So far they’re low on the totem pole. Obviously money at the center, and Saudis have lots of it now thanks to you know who!

  65. Tiger only declined cause he see’s a weak field in future majors. If he was 22, he make 2 billion dollars with LIV. Let’s stop treating golfers like their not in it for the money. Zero judgment to get the bag of GUARANTEED cash!

  66. The same PGA Tour association that was charging $18 for a can of beer at the PGA championship, is shaming guys for going to make more money on a different tour?!?! Hmmm… hypocrisy at it’s finest.

  67. I’m pretty sure several, and one of the most famous courses on the PGA tour, banned women and people of color for years and years, and were proud of it. Yet all these now noble PGA golfers throw shade at those leaving for another tour that has a shady background also. “Do they think of the example they set for the wife and kids”? Did you? Playing at a course that your wife and daughter could never join? Double standard much?

  68. 150 million is a pretty good number to keep you from worrying about an indefinite suspension. The players I’m sure have accepted the fact that they probably can’t play in the majors.

    1. @Jeff Boyd Yes I know that but I think a lot of players care about the other 3 majors than the PGA. But I was thinking if the USGA, R&A and Augusta didn’t allow them from an ethical standpoint and independently said “no you can’t play”

    2. @Alexander Jefferies Do those other majors suddenly hate how much money those players bring in? Golfers are independent contractors and are allowed to do anything they want. Why can players play the European tour and PGA tour? LIV just changed the game.

    1. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahaha!!! This made my day… Vindictive always.… Ahahahahahahahahahahaha!! Good one man…

  69. If anyone actually considers leaving the PGA tour for LIV golf it not only conveys your greedy selfish nature but your complete 🤡 behavior. PGA is the only tour suitable for golf and no one should be fucking with Saudis

  70. Stand with pga the hell with those ungrateful bastards I’m glad their a gone theyll regret it when the terrorist backed league folds never let em back

  71. Wtf is that question? How to greet his friends like dj? Just greet them like usual. They just play in another tournament…
Why the reporter assume like dj and co going to war against us? Like they are some kind of traitor. THEY JUST PLAY IN ANOTHER TOURNAMENT. GROW THE FUCK UP.
it’s like g.higgo play in european tour, anything different? Like common…

  72. Not every golfer is tiger, alot of them are paid nothing compared to other athletes…they are paid in gear, and golf rounds alot of the time.

    1. No they can’t lol PGA is a private entity… they decide whonplays and who doesn’t. Otherwise I’d be in this week’s RBC Open with my 18 handicap..😅

  73. I find it amazing that a player deciding to play 8 events and not on Sundays gets told that they are not thinking about their families.
    😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s EXACTLY who are they thinking about vs 30 events all away from home.

    1. LIV will fly them home on Sundays jn private jets .
I’m starting to wonder about if PGA charitable tax free status is a shell, weird to see a charity being draconian

    2. It’s funny how a league that doesn’t guarantee anything to its players acts like the players owe them loyalty. Give me a break. I don’t want to hear anything about the Saudi’s either. Where is your President at right now. He’s going to break bread with the Crown Prince. We as Americans have been in business/trade with the Saudi’s for decades.

The PGA has been able to operate without any competition for decades and they’ve taken advantage of that status. The PGA have been on the wrong side of history time and time again.

  74. the question for J.T, RORY AND CO should be HOW DO YOU GUY’S FEEL BEING SLAVE OF PGA AND HAVE NO FREEDOM TO PLAY ELSEWHERE…
    why nobody asking that?
If someone make a competition for top 10 golfer in the world to see who is the best that year with 100m price money, can they participate?
    Enjoy being slave of pga

  75. I’m not even interested in watching the PGA tours now, considering how they have acted like a bunch of petulant children just because someone finally threatened their monopoly.

  76. The PGA is trying to enforce a global monopoly on the sport of golf…
I look forward to them losing their ass in court…

  77. The LIV participants don’t give a stuff. They are collecting easy money from a reprehensible régime for playing in third rate tournaments. There is no prestige attached to LIV golf. I’ve lost all respect for Greg Norman for helping to orchestrate the LIV events. How much money does he need? He couldn’t spend all the money he has already accumulated in his life, so why go after even more when it is no better than accepting blood money? Greg Norman is a hero to many Aussies, but I bet plenty of other Aussies now hold him in much lower regard.

  78. Jay Monahan is a gelding.…..so scared the LIV golf tour is going to fuck up the PGA tour that he’s already began threatening them. The first sign of weakness from the PGA tour. I’d be laughing out loud about this statement if I was Greg Norman. This is the first step of the fall of the PGA tour, hopefully.

  79. Saudi golf league? I would say the US should stop making Saudi to export oil using US dollars or Saudi to stop trading oil in US dollars. Either way the US economy will end up in trash bin within 1 week. BE NICE TO SAUDI AMERICA!

  80. Reading the comments here, I suspect that LIV has adopted the paid comments or bots approach in an effort to lift the esteem in which its third grade golf events are held by the public. No more than a curiosity at the start, but I can’t see holding the interest of the public when you look at the quality of players that are participating.

    1. Exactly… I watched 30 mins and had to turn it. It was like watching the Korn Ferry tour with an occasional appearance by a PGA player on the downhill side of their career😅

    2. I am for the players and am not a bot or paid. I am a golfer and golf is a job for these players. I get them going for the paycheck. If the PGA changes to a for profit company, they can start paying players to show up also. They have saved 200–300 million in taxes by being a non profit. That decision helps the PGA , not the golfers. This is a business and the players have to make whatever business decision is best for them and their families.

    3. @batsonelec C You make it sound as if these poor bastards are starving because of the pittance they earn on the established tours. Hopefully some of their sponsors will walk away from them because the exposure through LIV events will be very limited.

    4. @Peter Taylor except for the top 3–5 names, I doubt the others make a whole lot. Getting free golf equipment doesn’t pay any bills. Many sponsorships are just free custom equipment, not actual money.

    5. @batsonelec C They get there expenses covered, they make good to excellent prize money, they get appearance money in plenty of countries outside the US, they get large sponsorship incomes. All the golfers on the main PGA tour are very well to do.

  81. For those who said that playing the PGA Tour is not for money…yah if they cut the prize to 1/10th, let’s see how many top players will stay. The Tour simply can’t stand another tour paying more prizes…

  82. Rory in 5th is the only name I recognize. the PGA is dead if it bans those big name players, period. There are 3 big names being DQ’d and that is enough for me to not watch. The PGA is a Non profit to save paying taxes , so they can’t directly pay players, that is their choice to save the estimated 200–300 million in taxes over the decades. If they were For Profit, they could pay a show up fee and get all the big names every week. The PGA being greedy is why this has happened. I love golf and I don’t have a problem with golfers going where the money is, since it is their damn job after all and they don’t get paid at all with the PGA unless they make it to the weekend, and the number that does is always limited.

    1. You watch golf for Sergio Garcia spitting in the hole & a 50+political Ken doll Phil? DJ does make me chuckle when he misses his 14th 2 footer on a Sunday though. I’ll really miss that.

  83. Good luck on the Bonesaw tour Phil. Just remember not to criticize the prince or you’ll have an appointment at the embassy

  84. Well… I watched the LIV earlier… I made it through about 30 minutes before turning it. Was like watching the Korn Ferry Tour with an occasional appearance by an actual tour player..😅

  85. The PGA needs some competition! They want to be the only game in town, and expect their players to be good little slaves. When was the last time the PGA was audited? An organization that claims to be nonprofit but rakes in the money they do, should have yearly audits.

  86. It’s definitely time for some competition. I’m glad for Liv.
Maybe they can compete again each other

  87. Scared that’s all I see let’s not forget the pga tour it self was a breakaway tour it can’t take a bit of competition

  88. DJ got a exemption earlier this year from the pga to play in Saudi Arabia….sooooooo what are we doing. Oh side note, the pga has a WGC in china. Just saying

  89. From what I can tell The PGA is acting and performing like a monopoly, hell if I was a pro golfer playing for money and LIV offered me that kind of cash the hell with the PGA rules, the players play for the PGA, they don’t work for the PGA ‚and if the players who are concerned with the moral issues some of which a few people like Brandel Chamblee have bought up then they should also not play in the Shell Houston Open, and a few other sponsors that in some way shape or form have there feet under the same table as the Saudi’s ‚just my opinion of course.

    1. Nope.. PGA is acting and performing like any other club. If you are a member, you have to obey to the club rules.. You know, like in your local golf club.. You just can’t come and play in your flip-flops with plastic clubs. Just can’t… And if you don’t obey the rules, you can’t stay a member of that club. You are allowed to become a member of another club, which they all did and got paid real good for it. So, as George Constanza would say.. NO DOUBLE DIPPING!!

  90. Maybe the PGA should up their prize’s money if they want to keep the best! Just like the NBA or MLB they play their players more money than other league and have the best of the best. However, players have the right to play wherever they want.

  91. Well I would rather not play for an association that think they own you, all the players that went to liv are probably thinking “well. Screw you then” 😂 I for one think the liv tour is a well needed modernised approach to the game to get more people involved, it’s exciting and team based which I think will approve to a bigger variety of younger audience

    1. More people involved? It’s 48 top tier players. No chance for anybody to get into this league unless they prove them selves through what? PGA tour events of course. Which PGA organizes… On all levels, not only top-tier level. Giving the same chance to everybody. While LIV gives the same chance only to 48 players…

    2. @highway_star not directly involved I apologise, I mean in terms of interest, people who don’t watch golf now will watch this

  92. Very disappointing that so many golfers would sell out in this manner. Not surprised at Mickelson or Norman as they come across as very shallow individuals but the others have let themselves down very badly. Talk about doing anything for money.

    1. How come? They had contracts with PGA and they breeched them by not obeying to the playbook rules. There is no grounds for a lawsuit here as I see it

  93. Bunch of past prime players being bought out to play for a Saudi prince? I would only watch if they reinvent the game and strictly play in desert sand with camels as caddies.

  94. Who give a fudge what y’all think. You play golf to support yourself and your families, so do they. You don’t pay their bills, so shut the fudge up. SMFH

  95. Media releases meaning that the PGA wants to control all the likenesses of ALL of its players. Good for those who walked away from the “non-profit” charity which is the PGA

  96. A question to those who know, what “tournament regulations” exactly are being referred to? Because what about the people that play both DP world and PGA tournaments? Wouldn’t any co-sanctioning of events in any case contravene these regulations? OR does it only count for tours or events that might compete with PGA on a fair footing?

    1. The PGA tour grant releases for their players to play European tour events. When the players asked to play the LIV event the tour declined the release

  97. LIV will only survive as long as the Saudi royalty throw money into it. They go & LIV goes with it. Then all those guys turn into European Tour players. Good luck.

  98. Duval talking about values like he’s played for free and the love of the game his whole career. Lol

  99. I doubt DJ really knew what he was doing… I blame his inner circle for giving him horrendous advice. He will regret this decision. Scratch that… I think he probably wakes up in a new world every day!!

  100. It’s interesting – the argument about human rights and the Saudis being the reason why these golfers shouldn’t participate. China has MUCH worse human rights issues, genocide in fact, however the PGA and other sports welcome their sports people, and we all still buy stuff made in China! – a bit hypocritical don’t you think?
Also I believe that it’s good for golf. The 50 plus golfers leaving the PGA will give an opportunity to 50 plus up and coming future stars to get into touring golf earlier.

  101. PGA monopoly same as the UFC. This is a global game, more future jobs and more future talent to come, talk about the positives. Only America golf upset, rest of us, very happy to see something new.

  102. Funny. The pga tour is arrogant enough to think that they are the standard to measure all high level golf by. Why? Because they say so?
There’s soooo much amazing golf out there. Enjoy all of it.
The only thing the pga tour has done is expose themselves to be the selfish, self-serving , intolerant, thin-skinned divas that they are.

  103. I just don’t understand why pros can’t play in both tours if they want to. Imagine declining an 8+ figure offer just because your other place of work says they’ll suspend you indefinitely when you’ve made them more money than they’ve payed you. Kinda stinks

    1. Why aren’t all player allowed to play in LIV tournament, just these 48 guys, who by the way build their career trough PGA tours? It’s not a tournament, it’s millionaire’s private little golf club, what it is…

  104. So many of these multi millionaires have always chased the dollar. They are always trying to get into a field where more money is on offer. This is what makes the golf world go round.

  105. I fully pledge my Support to the PGA TOUR. There’s alot of Good reasons why it’s the Best Tour To Date, History ect. Sad to say these player’s are only in it for the $$$ and not what they worked so Hard to accomplish.

The LIV Tour should be Televised and not only available for streaming. My thoughts

  106. How one sided can you get> You only show the view points of those players that stayed with the PGA.! ! ! So it appears to me the golf channel is just like the fake news corrupt and one sided. They all must be democraps !

  107. So happy to see LIV and the drama happening. Who knows what will happen in the years to come. I suspect that LIV will peel off some PGA talent in the coming years as LIV grows and develops. You will always have your traditionalists and loyal fans. As new generations come into golf, that will be the telltale sign of what happens.

If the human rights thing was such a problem, America should have found their oil elsewhere after all these decades. Lord knows that we have enough in the country. I just think the human rights thing is being used in a pawn of this game of chess. Golf is golf. Nothing more, nothing less. The PGA allows golfers from some of our political enemies and not-so-friendly nations to play. The PGA was one of the last to accept ethnic minorities to play. So, the PGA has dirty hands too throughout their history. Not to mention, if look at the politics and social agendas of some of their sponsors and even members in their leadership, I bet you could find many faults. I can almost guarantee that much of the products they support are not all “Made in the USA”.

Let the media and the activists have their day. In time, we will see how this works itself out. One day, there will be new leadership in the PGA and perhaps they will have a different view of things. Everyone talks about money. The PGA, the players, the sponsors, and all involved in the organization are knee deep in the money. The PGA is a business. It is not a charity.

  108. JT, Rory, and Duval could not have said it better. Greg Norman’s Participation Trophy Golf League is all about not living up to the rules of the PGA Tour that these guys agreed to when they joined it – and could play at the highest level – who now can’t play at that level, want the money, and are willing to try to make the PGA Tour the bad guys. But hey, at least Greg’s “tour” gives Phil the opportunity to pay off his gambling debts.

  109. Regardless of what I feel about the PGA or LIV… That, to me, is a beautiful list of players that I don’t have to watch anymore. Couldn’t be happier with their decision to depart. Louis, I will miss. Love that dude. Worth getting rid of Sergio & Phil though. Bye.

  110. About time some competition to the PGA tour…no more monopoly from now on hopefully…what made laugh is when Justin Thomas said everyone has a NUMBER….so does that mean how much is his number…if this does grow and grow..do you really think mclroy and co will just stay on pga tour if for example most of the top players jump ship….

  111. What people in this comment section seem to not understand is, that the problem is about supporting the saudi arabian régime, especially as an american, is disqusting. When you think about what american values are. Competition is good, but an endless well of money, coming from a slave country, is just fking wrong. Especially when you see the format of LIV, its not even a competition its just boring exhibition. Wake up people

  112. Imagine if a LIV player wins next week. Unlikely as there is probably only 1 who could but still be weird. Fair play to the PGA for laying it down to protect their Tour but there is a huge amount of hypocrisy. Outside of the majors and Ryder Cup though the regular tour events are pretty dull. You could throw in a handful worth watching, so give them a window, ensure they play XX number and I think both “tours” could co-exist. If more big names alas Bryson defect then I can’t see the bans holding out„ but fair play if the PGA stand firm as that will be the only way to hold the high ground now. They have made their bed.

  113. Its confusing to try to suspend players that have resigned from the league. PGA is behaving in a foolish manner. They’re tarnishing their own reputation…or actually proving what their ownership is actually about.

  114. PGA dont like LIV because they are doing pretty much same but in a stronger way : much more money. They can’t compete so now they cry. People colonised north America, named it USA but … bunch of nomad taking what’s not theirs with power : like LIV is doing right now. Wake up : USA is facing stronger countries

  115. I don’t think anyone has come out of this looking great. The PGA cartel are more worried about losing their income than innovation

And no one should be kidding themselves about morals when it comes to where their pay check comes from. I’m not sure where America gets its high horse from but they should think about returning it

  116. Well your all hypocrites THE usa dollar has and still is killing people all over the world, the usa war mongers i am pissed to here these un educated golfers unbelievable total BULL sh1t, THERE is a bit nice world out there not the bs usa„,sugar coated BS

  117. Duval is not being totally transparent. The United States government does business with Saudi Arabia and American businesses have interest in Saudi money as well. More than 40 billion dollars of Saudi money is invested in the United States stock market.

  118. David Duval in pursuit of the dollar and the love of the game signs with Callaway. Club components, Golf apparel and Equipment made in China one of the most powerfulest countries in the world with egregious human rights violations 🤯.
I realize you got to stay in tight with your former cash flow just in case the senior thing don’t work out but don’t play their smack talking puppet to sway public opinion. Don’t be a pawn in what can turn out to be a legality chess game.

  119. If the PGA Tour had just said sure, go play 8 tournaments a year, as long as you maintain a playing schedule on the PGA Tour there’s no problem, then this LIV stuff would just fizzle out and nobody would care.

  120. Justin, everybody has a number, you should’ve just said “ hey, if they gave me $1 billion or more, I would leave the PGA tour tomorrow”

Just so we have a sense of everything being right that you’re saying.

  121. As players who have access to the best tournaments, there was no need to join such a radical tour. The players on the PGA or DP world tour work hard to get there, and if they leave should have to work there way back.

  122. All suspended players can join the DP World Tour when not playing on the Liv Tour and Majors. Plus not all players have broken the rules as some have resigned from the PGA Tour in advance. I’m concerned that some comments made by journalists and others could be considered defamatory.

  123. Does anyone else find it suspicious that Trump built a golf club in Dubai in 2017? After hearing about this royal golf league sweeping through the region I find it suspicious. It is almost like Trump, DAMAC, and the Saudi kings were working together in secret.

  124. This really isnt any different than someone working in a high profile position for a large company You wouldnt work for Amazon, and at the same time their next biggest competitor would you??

  125. This is no different than any other athlete changing teams for an improved business deal…should they not be your friend any longer..get real
