    1. @Stephen Schulz golf is an international game. Liv will bring events to parts of the world to showcase professional golf and grow the game in a way that the pga tour is unable to do with the canadien rbc, memorial or the travelers.

Hopefully, we end up with kind of a hybrid with liv being more of the international tour and saving the pga tour for their better events.

I watched the liv for about an hour. I like the shotgun start, kept the action moving on the broadcast. I liked what I watched. In no way does this replace the masters or the pga or the players championship. But it is an enjoyed format for a few events a year.

    2. @Chevy 4x4 Pretty sure once you change jobs you don’t get to go back and forth to your old job at will and ask for the same benefits the workers still there (and never left) get… right? See the problem with your analogy??😅 🤡

    3. @Chevy 4x4 LIV is just an exhibition circus that does zero for the game of Golf. Purely for the entertainment of the Arabs with unlimited money at the expense of anything resembling integrity.

    1. Indeed. How dare they seek better financial opportunities! How dare LIV introduce a traditional sports league to golf! How dare these ungrateful players turn their back on the ‘greatest sport’ and ‘greatest Tour’!
Geez, that old man is really stretching it.

  1. I watch players play. The PGA basically means nothing. Over estimated your importance.
When I play I do not try to emulate the PGA tour legal team..I try to swing like Phil…..

    1. Who do you think gets the tournaments, the sponsors, the venues the TV contracts done. How many years did it take to do that? The players help but there is an entire enterprise putting this together. The only player that has really grown the game is Tiger. Phil had no impact on the purses or the growth of golf.

    2. @Michael Fong If there was no PGA, there would something in its place and I would still watch.
The league is important… but no where near as important as they believe they are.
      You’ll see. ✌🏻

    3. @Michael Fong Well Not sure I agree 100%. Tiger moved the needle like nobody else in the last 25–30 years, but Phil is a clear 2nd. When Phil won the WGC in Mexico in 2018, his first win since 2013, ratings for the 2018 WGC were up 18% over the 2017 WGC Mexico which DJ won and he was in the final pairing with Justin Thomas and Rory McIroy. So Phil being being in contention and betting Justin Thomas in a playoff in 2018 was 18% higher in ratings than the 2017 with the 3 guys I noted in the final pairing all in contention.

When Phil won the PGA last year, it was the most watched sports broadcast for that week (which included NBA playoffs) and highest rated Golf Tournament TV ratings wise since 2018 PGA when TIger was in contention. (Tigers 2019 Masters win did not have the ratings impact because of that early morning start). So yes Tiger is the #1 Game grower, but at #2 it is Phil and still is Phil. The 2021 PGA clearly shows that. In fact, Phil 2021 actually crushed the NBA TV ratings. It peaked at 13 million viewers and averaged about 6.6 the entire 4.5 hour round. The highest rated NBA playoff game was the Lakers/Suns at 4.4 million viewers.

    4. @Palermo Trapani Phil’s 51 and going downhill fast… (+10) this weekend… which by the way they couldn’t give tickets away at the LIV tournament in London – crowds were miniscule. The young guns are who draws in the crowds now.…

    5. @Lake Ozark REI Yes, his skills are not what they use to be and he is not as consistent as he once was. However, lets try and be fair here. He had not played competitive golf since February 6 at the Saudi International, where he finished 18th and that was a strong full field, stronger than the AT&T at Pebble beach that weekend. So we are talking about 4 months and apparently he did not start to pick up a golf club until early May a few weeks before the PGA. So is Phil going to be able to play 20+ events on the PGA tour and consistently have 15 top 10’s, and win every year like he did 8 to 10 years ago and prior. No. I think at 52 next week, the mental grind alone having to make cuts takes too much out of someone at his age. Heck, when I play golf, I get mentally lapsed playing 18 holes, much less grinding on the back nine in round 2 to make a cut. I see Phil, my opinion, as a potential better version of Watson, who at 59 got into a playoff at the Open back in 2009 shooting ‑2 with Cink. Westwood was the only other player to shoot under par at ‑1. Watson had a long golf swing, like Phil, never had major injuries. He won his 39th and final PGA tour event at 48 years old, 4 months short of his 49th birthday. Phil won his 44th PGA tour title in February 2019 (AT&T pebble beach) about 4 months short of his 49th birthday, but he also won a major at 50 years old (1 month shy of his 51st birthday) last year at the PGA (6th major and 45th win).

To me, Phil will win things line up, he mentally sharp and his swing is in sink enough to drive well, for him, hit some fairways and keep his misses from going a mile off line, he will still compete. HIs putting sort of comes and goes, but with some tournaments under his belt, that will come back. He had never had the yips putting or chipping, etc. He drives the ball plenty long enough still. So I can see Phil, like Watson, being in contention at some majors up till he is 59 like Watson. Not everyone, but yes I think there will be some majors that Phil will be in contention on Sunday to win up until he is 59/60 years old, and he, unlike Watson might pull it off (he already has at 51 won the PGA).

With that said, go look at the PGA Championship ratings last year when Phil won on Sunday (final round) vs. all other sporting events that day and past week. Phil’s PGA win blew them all out the water.

  2. You guys giving LIV a lot of unnecessary publicity right now. PGA is giving this to much attention. I went on the LIV YouTube channel there were 100k live viewers watching on a Thursday morning.

    1. wow. a whole 100k? lol. The Memorial Tournament averaged about 2.5 million viewers last weekend.

I checked out the LIV broadcast and it is really laughable.

    2. By the third LIV tournament they will be lucky to have 10k watching. People want to watch the best compete against the best irrespective of how much money they are making. LIV is to PGA as WNBA is to the NBA, quality-wise.

    3. @TheBrindleBoxer I only made it through about 30 minutes before I had to turn it… horrible broadcast, terrible golf and miniscule crowds. Felt like u was watching a watered down version of the Korn Ferry Tour. The last several golfers in the field finished at +23 & +24 OVER PAR!… I can shoot that!😅

  3. Heart and Soul of Golf!?

The PGA Tour broke away from the PGA Tour of America in the late 60’s for larger purses!! This is simply history repeating itself.

The PGA Tour isn’t the big boy anymore and trying to position itself as the “Conscience of golf” is hysterical.

  4. Bendiciones hermosa Celina que Dios te cuideo donde quiera que Kimmy-jka.Monster encantan tus videos.

  5. Until LIV gets a big fat TV contract, its not going to be able to compete with the PGA. The golf channel is never going to broadcast an event.

    1. Why wouldn’t the Golf Channel not cover a golf event? They already have to compete with ESPN, ABC, NBC, Fox, and CBS for golf coverage.

    2. @Slim Pickens O watched 30 minutes of the LIV tournament… all I could stand. You’re being generous calling it a golf event… last few players were +23 & +24 over par! I can shoot that!😅🤣

  6. Why does an indep contractor not allowed to play where they want? PGA are greedy thugs! The rules by PGA doesn’t benefit the players, only the PGA, like all corporations…

    1. Because you are “invited” to play on the PGA Tour by invitation. You just don’t show up and play. That’s how that works. If I don’t want you in my house, I don’t invite you into my house. Period. What’s not to understand?

    2. @tigerbalm You realize every player that defected over to the LIV tournaments were required to sign a non compete stating they weren’t allowed to play a competing tournament on the same weekend as a LIV tournament… right? I’m going to assume you’re now just as outraged about that as you seem to be at the PGA Tour for stating the same thing… right?

    1. Start opening ur mind and challenging the pga tour. How about watching the liv event. I watched it a bit today and enjoyed.

  7. OMG you ‘Elmers’ don’t like it when another part of the world comes in to challenge your ’supremacy’. What the hell is Rolfing on about’ destroy the game’.…totally ridiculous. Great to see a new championship that challenges the old ‘way of things’. Watched the whole first day of LIV and thoroughly enjoyed it. Golf Channel is very biased IMO !!

    1. If you seriously enjoyed what you saw Thursday then you’re beyond help… I turned it off after 30 minutes it was so boring, terrible broadcast, no crowds and bad golf… 🤢😅

  8. Agree completely. During the Tiger era, I loved Phil more. Now I’m just disgusted and embarrassed by him. He’s ruined his reputation for me. I cannot watch him anymore.

    1. if the tour would’ve treated him better, he would still be there. You need to rethink your stance and not listen to the BS propoganda of the golf channel

    2. @Anodizer Vintage 🤯?? Treated him better? He’s won over 300 million on the PGA tour… listen snowflake… it’s not the PGAs fault that Mickelson has almost gambled his life’s savings away… sorry.😅

  9. Rolfing is way off base. It’s just another golf league. Is Rolfing worried about “golf” or the PGA tour. Golf is fine and will be better with the LIV tour.

  10. ROLF, you are an OLD clown and you are past your expiration date. Move a side there is a NEW tour and the players aren’t dumb.…SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!!!!! From the RACISTS that run “The Masters” to the racists that run the PGA of america. Finally some other organization that is racist is giving you some competition.

    PHIL RULES!!!!!

  11. The guys are just mad because people still have the ability to choose for themselves. The PGA is basically a tyrant league.

  12. As a fan, and a golfer the game will never be ruined. The PGA just doesn’t like nobody messing with there wallet.

  13. I’m not surprised but disappoint with the Golf Channel. LIV is definitely the real deal and they will now compete not only with the tour because of their poor response they will also go after the GC. Can you imagine how much better the GC would be if they embraced LIV. LIV is a much better product for TV starting with the draft and having all the players on the course at one time. There is room for all tours. They should get onboard.

    1. Absolutely. LIV has a strict one-kill of a reporter per year for example. Although they do kick out whatever other reporters they want.

  14. This is so much BS. These commentators must have a 5 gallon bucket of chapstick for all this ass kissing. The top players all have gotten “show up” money in the past. It is all about money and protecting the PGA franchise and media rights. They don’t like Greg Norman cherry picking their good players even has beens. The PGA knows they cannot outspend the LIV and worry their current top players might be tempted to move on. I understand the Saudis have been supporting the FEDex cup for years.… wait for changes. The PGA will be found in court in violation of restraint of trade with damages which will make lawyers rich. I wonder how many good lawyer friends are on the PGA executive board? Enough BS about what is good for golf. It is kind of hard to be objective as a commentator when your existence is dependent upon the PGA. Don’t tell me any of these commentators would not move to another network if they got triple the pay.

    1. @wreckim Terrible, nonsensical analogy. You’re judging a foreign country’s laws, customs and practices. I would suggest you look at the multitude of things done by this Country before throwing stones.

    2. @The DIMA Show That’s all I hear is everybody talking about what America has done. Nothing like when somebody’s pointing out your faults for you to point out other people’s faults we’re not talking about America we’re talking about Saudi Arabia the murderers of journalists the murderers of gay people. Stop trying to turn the blame around.

  15. The pga tour will probably always run the best lpga and champions tours. I don’t see this organization being able to strongarm the top players in the future.

  16. This is good. LIV has exposed the pga and (golf channel) for being the cry baby snowflakes that they are.
‘Waaah! Only WE get to play golf! No one else!’

  17. The PGA tour is going to be fine – the European Tour will die a slow death with this. Notable that they have not come out with a statement on the LIV golf

    1. euro tour will be fine. i’m sure they will be accepting of LIV. it will be back to the usa standing alone. not in control of the game of golf. don’t be afraid of a new format. this is not a new way for golfers to make $$$ it’s just the pga aint getting a cut! the golf channel is an american pga media outlet for the american viewer. the rest of the world steps on their own pace.

  18. These old dudes need to stop with the tears of fear and gloom. This is a game, a sport. I gotta wonder if you had that much emotion when Russia began dropping bombs on Ukraine? Golf is not that serious “anymore.” There is a new crop of fans that drink beer and play rock&roll or R&B on the course and sometimes fart in your backswing. 4 days of traditional golf is way too long for this generation. I can barely do 18 holes and I’m almost 60 and love it when I get a full 9 holes in. Except for the Majors all pro golf should be Thurs, Fri, and Saturday…with the players back home with their family on Sunday getting ready for church. Élite golf is waning so let the next generation shape the game. Old guys…wipe your tears, keep quiet and go hang out with your grandchildren. No disrespect.

    1. Those thoughts are the problem, everything in life doesn’t need to be reinvented (disrespectfully modernized). The golf courses and equipment has evolved, the need for abnoxious drinking fairway fans are not needed.

  19. I mean, what do you expect from the Golf Channel?? They are financially responsible to say what they are saying about LIV Golf. Worried about the “heart and soul” of Golf? Thats laughable

    1. You absolutely correct….it is propaganda…they pay lots of money to show the coverage…imagine if he said yes good for golf I.e competition etc…everyone please make your own mind up on it and not this COMPLETELY BIAS OPINION….if NEUTRAL opinions from other players and broadcasters fairer enough….remember if they suddenly didn’t have the PGA tour to show etc…this bias opinion from him…he wouldn’t have a job would he …think about it

    2. All the winning complaining and crying..🤦 Really!!! Talking about anger angry and hates…So much coming from a professional who getting pay to say things like that, so negative. PGA can do what they have to do, players will make their decisions and choices in the future. They are not under contract nor want to give up their rights to make their own decisions, the players have been thinking long and hard before making decisions. If PGA think that LIV is a competitor than it is and they need to learn how to except it. That is up to the golf God to decide if they can’t share it.

    1. @JW P I get that and they are entitled to their take on the situation. All I’m saying is that the PGA didnt invent the game and they weren’t around when it started. For the longest time, Wal-Mart and Target dominated and then Amazon came around and changed the way consumers around the world shop. Who benefited? The consumer did and I think that is where this is going. When was the last time the sports world has paid this much attention to golf? Never! When was the last time golf was so lucrative? Never! It’s gonna shake out and everything will be fine. Probably even better👍

    2. @Josh Schambeau Of course the PGA Tour didn’t invent the game but it has now become the best tour in the world and the standard by which the greats of the game are measured. Greg’s LIV thing is a joke and will be lucky to last three years. Money is what motivates some guys. Real golfers want to go down in history. It’s what separates the men from the boys.

    3. @JW P you’re totally right about what the PGA has represented. As far as money and history separating men from boys, i have to disagree. Some of the big names say they dont play for money but if you took all the money away from the game, im sure their tune would change. It’s always about the money and frankly i don’t care who comes out on top. I think all this is definitely interesting but I do not think it’s worth getting worked up over

  20. Heart and soul of golf?
    This could destroy the game?
    What a joke.

LIV is putting on an 8 tournament series that was meant to compliment other tours and provide a different format with a different type of (faster paced) coverage. If anything is being destroyed, it’s being done by the PGA tour by making the players choose one or the other.

If the sanctions/penalties do anything, they prove that the PGA tour is flat out scared of competition and they want to keep their members squarely under their thumb.

    1. not to mention that purses in the pga doubled since liv started getting noise. oh but that extra money in the top players pockets is ok. no one mentions that. and yes, agreed… destroy the game? a joke

    2. Well…look like the golf God gave opportunity to open another golf league to players that has been grinding every week and weekend putting a wear and stress every time they try to make the cut. Playing Golf can be mentally draining and tiring at some point that your body need full recovery.

  21. you complaining that they got paid? you are gettting paid from a woke channel to criticize the liv. total fake comments. hypocritical

    1. And you’re the ol standby conservative now saying you support these few players playing in what amounts to a participation trophy league huh.…. why do you think those particular players defected? Cuz they knew they couldn’t compete with the level of talent thatvthe PGA tour has… ‘guaranteed’ money instead of manning up on the golf course.… sad really…

  22. I think the problem is that the PGA is only mad because the LIV is giving players guaranteed money unlike the PGA. Yes the pga has its history, has the best players but they don’t pay their players. Most of the players get the money from sponsors, pga only pays you if you win. With this guaranteed money being offered I think players are going to start pushing the pga to pay them regardless if they win or not.

    1. Thats why they are so pissed, they know they are going to have to dig into their deep pockets pay the players more.
      ITS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY…ALWAYS

    2. So sad that the PGA only pays you if you win. If only they were like Greg’s Participation Trophy League – where everyone gets paid simply for showing up. Welcome to the new age!

    1. Should Liv golf be Saudi Arabia golf. Name one Saudi Arabian player that has won a major or done anything significant in golf? I’m waiting. So if the PGA was gone tomorrow you think Saudi Arabia would be good ambassadors for golf???????? Do they even play golf in Saudi Arabia.

  23. I totally agree with Mark Rolfing here. Golf has always been different and, in some ways, far above other sports. To see it descend to Greg Norman’s Participation Trophy League is indeed sad. Phil and DJ have flushed their legacies down the toilet. The hope of golf is that guys like Tiger, Rory, Jon Rahm, JT, Spieth, Nicklaus, and Player call out the LIV tour for what it is – the cashing in of greedy has-beens. Or, in Phil’s case, a league which enables him to pay off his gambling debts.

  24. Destroy the game. If you think the PGA Tour IS THE GAME i feel you have lost everyone that has teed up a ball. You are not the game, the game is teeing it up and counting every shot you take to get it into the hole. That, Sir is the game. Unless you are playing a different game called greed and avarice( not to be confused with a Sunday mixed foursome)

  25. World is evolving. The future is here. Guys like Rolfing probably protested E‑Mail and internet when it presented itself to the world. LIV members are still playing golf. Let the game evolve!!!!

    1. I’m sure the golf Gods will ensure some saying on this and does not allow hates and anger upon each other. Golf is to bring everyone together and let players decide and choose freely and making their own decisions. As of for right now hates is so much from PGA and their supporters. PGA feel that LIV golf is taking their players which they never own them in the first place. The players are not contract to the PGA. Have to listen to both side and understand how the players feel too. I mean would you want to grind every week and weekend putting a wear and stress on your body and mentally trying to make the cut to earn? PGA top 50 only getting $30,000 to $40,000 k while LIV golf is $120,000. When they say Angry and Mad!!! That’s so much hates…hate is so Evil and Negative. I’ve watched LIV golf series past events, it was well organized and see more family friendly. Golf is changing and it will in the future…and so it has whether you like it or not.

    2. @Kevyn Keo It’s all a sham. A lot of people have hate for America which falls upon the PGA and it’s unfair. The PGA has done so much for communities in charity the PGA never has to ask if they have human rights issues. They never have to look behind their back and they have all the history and tradition behind them. Nobody owns the PJ players but all of those players that joined the pj had dreams of doing so. Lifelong dream since they were a child. Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer built our modern day PGA and I am so proud of it so anybody that doesn’t like it doesn’t have to watch and their golfers can be 2nd rate players.

    3. @gone fishing yes that I understand it from those like the old school players. I’m saying that to those who in charge of managing the PGA and how they are. 3% or which ever percentage that put in for charity’s which that’s up to them. But PGA does have a lot Money 💵 into media rights and coverage. 100Ms or more if so, I mean something up for awhile until now. I’m in my late 40s now and have been into sports since at a young age. We all must except those changes like it or not. To the old school players much love and respect to them for evolving the game and tradition. There’s always changes that comes, but have to learn and grow with it or from it. PGA have been Monopolizes for so long and it came to bite them. Just put yourself in the players position and understand what you see and understand in their point of view.

    4. @Kevyn Keo But the PGA was not a monopoly wasn’t there an Asian tour and a European tour that’s not pga. They are welcome to compete but they can’t. What makes anybody think Liv would be any Different. But I understand what you’re saying.

  26. The PGA Tour are a bunch of RICH BABIES. Jay M should and will get fired. The PGA screwed over a bunch of tour through out the years. They are getting there paybacks

  27. Golf channel your a joke you smeer these great golfers name for views your no better than cnn golfers made the pga and golfers should be able to play where they want , pga let’s them play European and other tour so y’all are hypocrites and I hope pga tour goes under because I’ll be watching Phil and Dustin and Kevin Na ,

  28. Let’s go Phil let’s go Phil , we got you Phil and Dustin and Kevin Na and more pga bunch of liberal cnn and golf channel sucks just smeer people

    1. Really..?? Cuz it seems like those few golfers who went to play in a participation ‘everybody gets a trophy’ league are the true snowflakes… can’t cut it on tour anymore with the young guns so go play where they’re guaranteed a check😅🤣 Sounds like you left your man card at the nail salon Sally…😅

  29. Im so sick and tired of hearing this TINY TIM SOB STORY. The fact that all these talking heads have the nerve to sight morality vs money as an argument. The fact they keeps bringing up human rights. Are we gonna talk about the US horrible human rights around the world. Slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, red lining. The invasion into IRAQ, the US killing thousands of innocent IRAQIs.Did we forget Hiroshima or the CIA admitting to putting cocaine into the inner cities to fund a Nicaraguan Contra. So stop your fucking virtue signaling like you have a dog in the fight. They haven’t beheaded anyone in CHOP CHOP square in decades. Does the US execute people? Absolutely. Does the US back assassinations around the world Absolutely, we drop fucking bombs from drones onto motorcades on shakes, and justify it. So just stop with the ethics 101 morality argument.

  30. Mark Rolfing = the poster boy for “Kids don’t consume copious amounts of Soy” PSA (if there was one…and there should be).

  31. Disagree with Mark Rolfing here. Love it or hate it, LIV Golf DEFINITELY does have a chance to grow the game!! I personally am not a fan of the financial backers of it, and the ethics of it all.

But, it probably won’t stop a lot of people from watching it on TV or youtube on occasion. And if LIV puts out a product that is fun and different, and perhaps at some beautiful new locations, YES, that appeals to a new audience. Seems to me like many of the Golf Channel commentators are bought and paid for by the PGA Tour, and are part of a diligent and conscious smear campaign.

From a fan perspective, the PGA Tour tournaments have become nearly monotonous and boring. They need to freshen things up a bit, with some new courses and formats. Keep the classics like Pebble and Harbour Town, and few others, but many others can be replaced with more scenic locations. That being said, I hope the PGA Tour succeeds and evolves from the whole situation, and that LIV eventually falls apart. But in this all, it’s a lesson to the PGA Tour, not to become complacent.

  32. Mark, I would like to offer you a job over here on the LIV tour. I don’t want you to be sad. We will offer you $3.5 million to become a field reporter. This is my first year offer. PM me bro!

  33. You guys are a joke! Your in bed with the PGA tour and your jobs are on the line. I would be scared to death just like you. I will send out my prayers for you all! God bless you!

  34. What the fuck is Heart and Soul of the game ? every professionals plays for prize, the reason players came to PGA Tour cos they have highest prize money and platform. No one did just for fun.

  35. it is propaganda…they pay lots of money to show the coverage…imagine if he said yes good for golf I.e competition etc…everyone please make your own mind up on it and not this COMPLETELY BIAS OPINION….if NEUTRAL opinions from other players and broadcasters fairer enough….remember if they suddenly didn’t have the PGA tour to show etc…this bias opinion from him and The worst analyst in golf history chamblee …he wouldn’t have a job would he …think about it

  36. Interesting the PGA acts like they own the players. PGA wants a monopoly so that they can make lots of money, not the golfers. I read about it all the time top golf telling PGA they need to pay out more to the golfer they are the show. PGA doesn’t care about them PGA want all the money.

  37. PGA tour old guys talking about old traditions🥱 stop it..also the big name’s of the game Rory & JT both boring as bat shit there interviews they do are depressing.…LIV please sign up John Daly, Bubba, Bryson, Freddy and get this party 🎊 started..

  38. When PGA “faithfulls” like Rory and JT talk about consequences, they kind of forget that consequences work both ways, let’s pretend for 1 second that LIV golf grows to be the premier tour in the world, what consequences should they face ? should they be allowed to join LIV once PGA start emptying out of players ? Players should quiet down or at least be very careful with their opinions, consequences work both ways !

  39. So we now have an elitist, glob-trotting golf circus that ‘wows the natives’ for 3 days. In the ‘declared intent’ by LIV golf to grow and popularise the game globally, are we going to see any of this seemingly limitless wealth pumped in to providing cheap playing facilities and coaching in countries which can otherwise not really afford it? Only by doing this can LIV really justify their model. The fact that the vast majority of this year’s events are being played in the US would apppear to cast a lot of doubt on their intentions in this area. It would appear to be a full frontal assault on the PGA tour in its own backyard, maybe trying to impress a new model on a lot of young Americans who will, due to their culture, be absolutely ‘bowled over’ by these unprecented prize money figures being bandied about out, and now being shoved in our faces on a daily basis.
The courses in the US staging these events. If possible, are they themselves looking at any form of sanction for doing so? Would appear to be ‘very unpatriotic’ what they are doing, but then, in the US, the ‘mega-buck’ is king, and any rulebook on patriotism soon finds itself at the bottom of the trash can.

  40. The bottom line is that LIV is not about the best golf in the world. No way. So, if you want to watch some entertaining WWE style golf, go to it. It’s fake, and it’s financed with my gas money. There’s a lot of that money from the West going right into SA’s bank account. I want to watch the best players in the world. That’s the PGA and European tours…period. LIV is basically McGregor vs Mayweather…all the time.

  41. And who cares about your emotions you old fart Rolfing…go be angry if you want..you all on golf channel are so pro the pga cos ur affiliated with them..

  42. Golf is a sport, not a religion. PGA stars make more money from advertising for big corporations than they make playing golf. While I understand the sadness that some feel, it is important to remember that this game is fun to play and to watch because it is so difficult to get a little ball in a small hole by hitting it with a stick.

  43. Way to over react. Their have always been multiple tours and now that some of the players want to go where they are getting paid for their effort, the PGA Tour is acting like a little child who just had his favorite toy taken from them. Get over it. Golf Channel you sound like the media puppet for the PGA Tour. Shameful

  44. If the PGA Tour was gone tomorrow and all there was was LIV golf.… would the Saudi Arabian princes be good ambassadors for the game of golf????????????????? Do they really care about golf or do they care about making their image better across the world. These are the hard questions that a lot of these people that support LIV golf don’t understand or care!

  45. Just maybe…just maybe the PGA will look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves a question; “what can we do better to make sure that we retain these players?”. A hurt dog bites. The fact that the PGA has suspended these players is an indication that they see it as a major threat to the PGA. The PGA has had a monopoly on competitive golf, they own the Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour, and the Champions Tour, a monopoly on anything is never good. The game is safe, it’s time for shake up as it relates to competitive golf.

  46. LIV golf ⛳️ is dead golf golf ☠️💤💤💤 who are you going to watch 17 guys ? and the 17 guys are all are on their way down like Mickelson, and Dustin not really preforming, who else Na?
    LIV GOLF is 💩😴😴😴🥱
And what legendary golf tournaments does LIV have?
The PGA is like driving a fine luxury car😎 you just know is its the best 🚘🌅🌉🌆🗽🏞🚆
Then there is LIV golf ( by the way what does the LIV acronym mean? ) well LIV as a car would be compared to this shit 🚙🛵🛴🚧🛶 no legendary courses, for one, and 17 soon to be old👴👴🧓👴🧓👴🧓👴👴🧓👩‍🦲👴🧓👴🧓👴🧓soon to be forgotten 🏌golfers, Im Forgetting there names already!

  47. Phil asked Greg Norman to silence Alan Shipnuck at the London press conference, but it didn’t go well. Phil should ask MBS to do it because he knows how to permanently silence anybody who dares to challenge him.

    1. So you do realize LIV golf required EVERY golfer they signed up to sign Non compete stating the player would not play in an alternate tournament that was held the same weekend as a LIV Tournament… right?? No… you didn’t because you’re just pushing an agenda… now – where’s your outrage at LIV golf for that requirement?? I’ll wait.…🤔😅

    2. @Lake Ozark REI so ur comparing not being able to compete in the same week, to being Completely banned from the PGA tour?

  48. As long as the American administration itself backs the saudi royal mafia & its war criminal fanatics, it’s not fair to blame Phil Mickelson for taking ~$200 million at once from saudi régime when he only made $95m in the last 30 years. #Sportwashing

  49. Sadness??? I thought we live in a free world. Since when did the Pga tour have a monopoly on where people are able to play golf! How is competition not healthy! I am happy for Phil and DJ. Good for them. It’s a game sir. You sound like a whining baby!

  50. Let those traitors’ ehem, players go. PGA should do what the nfl or the mlb have done. Bring in young American billionaires and let them bankroll the game a little bit. Let them invest in golf.

  51. Is it just me or are these opinions saying the PGA has a monopoly on golf and players? For sure the pga can sanction/ ban. That’s their right. But “this could destroy the game” that’s a stretch. In my opinion.

  52. Like a lot of businesses one man starts it (Beamon) built it the next generation grew it(Finchem) and the third ruins it (Monahan) He had no foresight to see this and do something about it. He put the tour on auto pilot. LIV won’t kill the tour, but they can mortally wound it to the extent that the tour will need to capitulate and let their players play both. I am talking 2024. The LIV has endless money

  53. As a golf fan and social golfer Liv Golf is great for golf
The average fan is not angry just happy we have some competition

  54. ya know i’m sure the scottish were thinkin the same kinds of things when america wanted to play their game. it’s gonna destroy it, hicks don’t understand it too arrogant! accept it this is just another game another format professional golfers have always played for the $$ now the moneys gone up without being locked down. the visual is good the commentators are better than the bland usa tour. pga usa keep doin your thing an the rest of the world will do theirs. now we need an int’l golf station as some of us tru golf fans actually want more action from around the world.

  55. walter hagen, ben hogan etc use to get upfront money an they only played up to 54holes. it’s only the modern american game that went to 72 hole.

  56. Pga tour starts war with liv. And they are using media for propaganda that pga tour by themself as they are avengers and liv just bad guys to defeat

  57. Sorry to say Mr Monahan “MONEY TALKS” & the Saudis have a ton of it.Golf will be fighting for the soul and merit of the players

  58. The PGA is crying because for the first time, their monopoly is being challenged. They will be taken to court in time and they will lose. The more they cry, the more they turn me off. Nothing wrong with competition.

  59. Greg Norman was once your Poster Boy, now he is Satan. You guys are all a Joke. Ill never watch the Golf Channel ever again

  60. Seriously felt like I was watching a watered down version of a Korn Ferry tournament. Only could stand about 30 mins… They couldn’t give tickets away… the crowds were miniscule. And out of 48 golfers EIGHT finished under par… with the bottom players at +23 & +24 OVER PAR!😅 🤢 I’ll be amazed if it lasts an entire season…

    1. Don’t be so sure. They will adjust these golf courses for these players. I think they miscalculated exactly why Tiger Woods ever shot 12 under par at the most difficult US OPEN setup in history at Pebble and beat the field by 15 shots: Heart. Free money makes you soft. Free money makes you otherwise weak and most will lose focus. That’s why teen-agers with Ferraris end up in accidents and otherwise losers by age 30. The PGA and European tours are about making it with GAME! That’s not LIV. Not by a long shot.

  61. I’m really disappointed with the Golf Channel with regards to the comments they are making about LIV. The Golf Channel is the cable television rightsholder of the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and PGA European Tour so they have a vested interest there. However, I don’t think they should feel threatened by the new league. The PGA tour will be just fine and having a little competition should be good for the game in the long run.

    1. Mark Rolfing crying and whining complaining and butt hurt not gonna help, like a high school kids got his heart broken by his gf.

  62. This is such b.s. Stop with the drama. As a former PGA club professional I will always look up to the PGA and what it represents. The LIV tour simply gives top professional players more avenues for themselves and their families. The traditions of golf won’t change. The only thing that will change is what the tour offers it’s players and it’s fans.

  63. Golf is golf. Golf is not destroyed. The PGA Tour’s pay scale and pay structure is what darn near a century old. They had all of the time in the world to change but chose not to. So blame the PGA Tour and the European Tour, not LIV. America is the home of Capitalism, why so sad it’s working?

  64. LIV not changing the world of golf, just giving freedom to golfers to play elsewhere, not only in PGA sanctions tournament. LIV unmasked PGA and they are scared. 🤣🤣🤣

  65. Is the PGA afraid of the competition? Nah, the PGA is right in line with the globalist cucks – they not only bought the plandemic, they married it … Let’s go Brandon ( pga )

  66. Time and Change is coming…Believe it or not..🤷 Hate it or Love it. More golf to watch and plus LIV give free live stream unlike the PGA you have to subscribe to something to watch it and it cost fans and viewers. PGA becoming more expensive…believe it changing is already making and that’s why the PGA feel LIV is a threat to them. Golf God want us to embrace the game and don’t hate the players, Golf is already hard enough and challenging. As an Amateur playing local Tournament every weekend to win the prize 🏆 and money 💵 and traveling city to city to play it can be overwhelming and tiring. Try to play a course that’s par 74 with Par 4s over 400+ yards Par 5s over 500+ yards and 18th 660+ yards. So complaining and crying about it not gonna help it. As amateur only thing is to enjoy it and embrace it, for the Love of the game of Golf. 🤘

  67. Lol all this talk about emotions, feelings, destroying the game is such a joke! This is nothing more than 2 entities fighting it out for supremacy. “Can the average consumer differentiate” ? What an elitist question to ask! The market will decide and the golf elitist hate seeing their monopoly jeopardized.

  68. Hey y’all go again talking about the soul of something that was never there in the first place 😅 so melodramatic… Tap the brakes on your perceived catastrophe LOL

  69. These guys are doing PGA tours bidding..why? Because Golf Channel is a PGA tour sound board. They aren’t protecting the “game of golf.” They are protecting the PGA Tour. What a joke.

  70. I love the concept of LIV. I just wish LIV would go back to 1985’ standards for equipment, where the Player was more important than the equipment. Go with an std Tour ball that all players use, and eliminate the Bryson gimmicks. I don’t see the USGA doing anything to roll back driver distance. They just let MFGs do whatever they want, and that is what’s wrong. It’s crazy with all of the technology, smash factor, spin rate, and launch monitors on the practice tee. Guys hitting A 9‑IRON 200 YARDS, that’s insane. Mark Rolfing is crazy. The PGA Tour is out-of-control.

  71. Idea for pga tour guys…

Offer to donate 100% of all earnings from LIV event play to charity – IF PGA Tour lets player continue to play on tour.

That would put the tour in one hell of a PR pickle.
