1. If the Masters decided to not invite LIV members, and should not be able to play Augusta…its not PGA regulated.…I will be done with the PGA and the Masters ASAP.…..!!!!

    1. Yup that’s the other side of the coin…the fans. If the PGA upsets their fans who believe the pros should be able to play in both leagues then they may start to lose fans and viewership and in turn money.

  2. Honestly, how many of these guys are we really going to miss? DJ seems like he’s done, Phil is only significant in majors, who else even matters?

    1. @zfstjdstjhstjh Ha Patrick Reed? Give me a break! Who will stop watching golf because of no Patrick Reed or Sergio. Phil is well past his prime and DJ was popular but never a huge tv draw since his personality is of a door knob

    2. @Zach R Phil is well past his prime ? LMAO , just won the PGA Championship last year. Tell your lawyers at the PGA Tour to prepare for a lawsuit

  3. The way to block this Saudi Golf League – block the rank points from being applied. Do that no more access to all the Golf Majors. 🤔

    1. @Tom Stevens correct but all the majors and the tours
must vote to allow Liv into the world rankings points. So even if the major entry criteria is not directly affected. The way decisions are made will reach all majors

  4. Green Jacket or piles of CASH ? If GREAT PGA players start seeing the ‑lower tier- players in the LIV making a lot of cash they will be heading towards the exit.

  5. Fans don’t care… if the game is fine, they will watch… you are defending a rich man’s sport played by a bunch of rich men. You have no Tiger coming up to boost the game at all, so the “Tour” will lose this in the long run.

Edit: And to preempt the people talking about “oil money” or “blood money”… the PGA is funded by just as much of that.

    1. Just as much huh? Really, the PGA tour isn’t completely innocent, but there is no comparison between them and the backers of the Saudi tour.

    2. @Mark McClean You need to take a closer look at how our economy works, and where that money comes from. Maybe read Ike’s farewell address.

    3. @Robert Baerwalde Not sure what you’re driving at. But if you’re saying everyone is equally quilty I don’t agree.

  6. Why would the Masters ban golfers when they could instead advertise themselves as the only tournament that hosts all pro golfers?

    1. @KineBuds Usa government is i think mainly importer of military equipment of Saudi Arabia, soo you all are good with that and with all that money you get from selling war but when normal people want to earn money thats the problem. Hypocrisy

  7. Sponsorships = the money

If people voice their outcry more and more publicly about them taking bloody Saudi money, then their sponsors will have a talk with them or drop them

    1. FedEx takes that money tho. And FedEx is a PGA sponsor…this just got messier. Sooo.…are people only voicing their outcry for golfers dealing directly with SA, but two degrees of separation in dealings are ok?

      How does this work?

  8. The LIV golf layout is basically comparable to Arena League football vs NFL. Once the shiny new toy is about 6 months old people will get tired of it…😅

  9. Golfers are the last of ALL athletes I am concerned about. They’re rich, they’ll be okay. And they can be old as hell and still play. It’s as physically demanding as frisbees (and a little less than baseball). So it’s not like there’s a ticking clock to deal with.

    1. I hear your passion about your dislike for golf athletes, but you ought really not let that get in the way of logic and truth about them.

  10. Should be easy for the Masters to exclude these golfers, since they’ve excluded women and zafrican Americans for how long

  11. The PGA Tour is looking and acting like they are about to lose. They are badly misreading this. Nobody cares, and they don’t have the money to out bid the Saudis.

  12. As things currently stand, LIV Golf players will not receive any Official World Golf Ranking Points, and that is what determines who qualifies for Major Golf Championships. Where are LIV players going to accumulate enough OWGR points to qualify for major championships? Answer: they can’t. So unless that changes, they are going to be shut out of the majors because they won’t be able to qualify. That being said, Phil will be able to play in The Masters and so will other past champions since they get a lifetime exemption. U.S. Open Champions get a 10 year qualifying exemption as do past PGA Championship winners. They will also get to play in The Masters for 10 years. But not all of these guys have won majors and they will be out. So you will see Charl Schwartzel, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Sergio Garcia at The Masters next year unless Agusta uninvites them. The Open Championship is a little different. Louis Oosthuizen has won a major but his exemption has expired for everything except The Open Championship. But he will be shut out of the other majors.

You can be certain that these guys were all well aware of how joining LIV Golf might affect their qualifying status for the majors. It seems to me that they have already decided that money was more important to them than playing in the majors.

    1. World ranking points can be accumulated through the DP World tour, Japan tour, Asian tour, etc.. This, if the LIV tour has any co-sanctioned events with these tours, world ranking points can be acquired. In addition, it would be hard to believe that the OWGR would deny the LIV tour’s application for world ranking status, but who knows.

    2. European players still got their European Tour membership. Sergio or Grame still can play in DP World Tour and gain world ranking points enough to be in Majors (inside 50 ranking)

    3. @Slo.Mo. Golf That’s a fair point. But what is known at this juncture? The DP World Tour did not grant any of its members a release to play in the LIV Golf Series and actually issued a warning to those players. But what isn’t yet known is if the players will face any discipline.

    4. Saudis pretty much own the Asian Tour, which does have OWGR points. I could see them merging LIV & Asian Tour together in some way to get what they want with the OWGR.

    5. @Piyachon Yuenyong The funny thing is they claim that this is about work-life balance. But if they have to add a bunch of Euro Tour or Asian Tour events to get OWGR points, they will still be playing a pretty similar number of events that they were playing before. It’s all about the money…period.

They also signed up for a deal with Darth Vader, who can “alter the deal” at any time with them. This includes forcing them to play 2–3 times as many LIV events as they expected when they signed up. So much for the work-life balance. It also includes refusing to pay the money in their contract and potentially murdering them to get rid of them. They signed a deal with a government that does not care at all about their human rights. That’s the risk they take. Phil Mickelson himself admitted this in his comments several months ago. “Scary people to get involved with.”

  13. Let me get this straight, the Saudi’s have “evil money” for Golf.….….. But China has “good money” for the NBA? Yeah, No human rights violations coming out of Good Ol’ China. GTFO here!!!

  14. What about the people that buy Oil from Saudi Arabia ? What’s wrong with competition ? They did the same the attract European and Rest of World best golfers to US PGA.

  15. I hope the PGA goes under couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch. I am in the golf business and the PGA does absolutely NOTHING for the game. PGA thinks they are above everybody. they think they are golf and the game owes them. Rich thinks Augusta bails them out? Don;t think there is a lot of love for Augusta either, with the rank and file players. Money wins the day..

    1. once you see the videos of what they did recently to gay people, i hope your business goes under too … imagine supporting the LIV money backers because you dont like what the PGA has done for the game … mind blowing logic

  16. Wait for them to set up a Saudi based NBA or something where they’ll offer NBA players 500m contracts to play over there. This LIV tour is only the start for them.

    1. China’s human rights issues dwarf the Saudi’s. The only thing they can’t offer is a championship ring, but if you’ve got one the money might be hard to pass up.

    2. @The Irish Developer Starting out. We’ll see how it looks in a few years. They own the players and will tell them what to do. Don’t like it? Get chopped into 1,000 pieces like anyone else who questions the government.

  17. … what? The total prize pool for The Masters is like half of what these LIV events are throwing out. What an absolutely ridiculous “take”. Jesus christ, Rich. The only people who are more concerned about the jacket than the money are the people that already have the money.

  18. All this talk about how bad it is to receive money from SA? Literally they are one of the biggest import/export relationships with the US. We are talking billions every year. As far as Augusta, those racist fucks can keep they green jackets imo….

  19. This sets a bad precedent for all sport leagues. The Saudi’s could pay any amount for every NFL, NBA franchise. It’s a Larry David style spite league.…

    1. i hope the NFL and NBA player go play in a Saudi league. then we can call them hypocrites. they want us to “say her name” and care about “i cant breathe”, but they can take money from murders? thatll be a fun news cycle

  20. Augusta National membership is filled with CEO’s of fortune 500 companies. And most fall all over their selves to do business with the Arabs. You don’t think the CEO’s of say Citi Group, Shell Oil, BP, Morgan Stanley aren’t going to go to bat for the Saudis…you’re kidding yourself.

  21. The Masters can’t stop Sergio or Dustin from playing. They have life time playing privilege until there 60 years old..

    1. Master’s winners receive a lifetime exemption to the tournament, same with PGA Championship. British Open winners are exempt until age 60, and the U.S. Open winners get a 10 year exemption

    2. I knew I was close. I know alot of the old timers at the Masters stop competing around 60 or so don’t want to be shooting 85 out there😉

  22. There’s no way the PGA can compete with unlimited Saudi money rich is definitely right about that this just the beginning.

  23. This is the most I’ve cared about Golf in forever. I’m glad someone is challenging the PGA. I don’t care about the whole SA thing, hell thr NBA is legit partners with China

  24. Don’t agree with you Rich. Monahan said this two months ago and has consistently said it since….you are missing the point, the PGA is saying from a moral standpoint we don’t want to join the Saudi thugs. Players have spoken up have sounded like complete idiots when they try to defend the Saudi‘s actions and all the really doing is going after the money. At some point you have to draw a line in the sand I think Monahan is doing the right thing you’ve said the same thing in the last few days.

  25. If Augusta were to acknowledge the LIV wannabe’s as world class golfers worthy of being invited to play in the Masters, then it’s not the Masters tournament, is it? Exactly. Who gives a damn about the field that this LIV tour has produced thus far? I’m thinking that young Korn Ferry or lower hotshots are saying, great, now we have a better chance to show the world that we have what it takes to be top level golfers. OH YEAH

    1. There are five past champions in todays tournamet. Do you really think the Masters is going to ban five of its past champions?

  26. Where is the outrage against chinas money for the n b a ? Mao killed 100 million Chinese but that’s ok. Go golfers. Get all the money you can.

  27. Why is Rich so dismissive of the fact that this is a Saudi league? This is nothing like NIL because the moral high ground is actually held by the PGA Tour and the players that are refusing the money.

    1. @Mike47 This is a false equivalency as the United States government is not the primary financial backer of the PGA Tour nor are they a sponsor of any significance. LIV Golf is Saudi-based. There’s no other financier because the point isn’t to turn a profit.

  28. WWE has been doing events in Saudi Arabia for a few years now, they have gotten some flack for it and still do but it’s very overlooked. Feel like it’ll be the same deal here.

  29. Simple solution would be for the PGA Tour to allow card holders to play anywhere they want without the BS of an exemption…as long as they meet the annual minimum 15 event requirement. The exception would be those that have already met the 15 season/20 win threshold.

    1. It’s not up to the PGA tour to allow or restrict golfers outside of their little rinky dink events. The Majors are their own entities and pay way more than the PGA events anyway.

    2. Exactly! There is only 48 spots up for grabs. Surely there is room for 48 more golfers in the world to make money. Given that most likely half of which would come from outside the PGA anyway.

  30. I don’t see the Masters saying they can’t compete… they’re their own entity. Wouldn’t be surprised if they accepted LIV Golf winners. 😂

  31. It sucks to watch.….it’s to busy.….I like to watch a player play a full round .……The leaderbord looks like Nascar.…..I’ll stick to PGA

    1. Fantastic point. I gave it 5 minutes. It was confusing and required looking at a “team” leaderboard. No avid golf fan wants to deal with that. We want to see individual leaders and the individual people chasing them.

  32. The Goal in life of every person that plays the game of golf Professionally is to place their feet upon Augusta national and play the masters Augusta national should not allow currently suspended players to play the masters

  33. kinda-sorta an interesting Strawman, Rich. But no, ANGC has repeatedly demonstrated they answer to no one, and I hardly think they’ll really care to stick their necks out for the PGA Tour. you are making it sound like the Masters is somehow beholden under the PGA Tour umbrella. I don’t believe it is. They are fiercely independent, with exception that their player results do contribute to PGA Tour Fedex Cup ‘points’ (and TBC, it’s the PGA Tour that benefits from this points-awarding. There would be zero change in Masters participation if, hypothetically, they decided to pull the Fedex points)

  34. Weak and spineless take by Eisen. These guys are getting $100,000,000 payments just to join the league. When you hand out that much money just for 1 individual to appear, how is this even really still a sport? What’s the real motivation to win? Who is going to care about this league? Rich thinks the only downside is the blood money? 🤯

    1. QB’s get 30 Million a year, do you think they just show up for the money also ? Golfers want to win but in the PGA there is no guaranteed money unless you score low enough to get to the weekend, and even then it might only be 20K if you don’t place high up.

  35. It would be a bad look for the Masters (tournament and golf club) to ban players from their tournament or club for playing golf.

  36. The problem is that the sergio, reed, Mickelson, and dustin have all won the masters so that means they are completely fine with the masters people

  37. The irony all along is that the Saudis have huge investments in FedEx so the PGA and PGA golfers have been taking Saudi money this whole time.

  38. The PGA Tour’s behavior is just inviting an antitrust suit from DOJ. Colluding with Augusta would make it more likely.

  39. ‘The Saudis’ are probably significant shareholders in a majority of sponsors of the PGA Tour. Didnt take long for me to find out that RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) just financed a deal with ‘the Saudis’. The PGA Tour stop this weekend is The RBC Canadian Open. Enough with all the grandstanding.

    1. Players don’t have to play the RBC either my friend if they are so inclined and as well informed as you. Most aren’t. But they sure as hell can’t plead ignorance here. So, the question is, when faced with the knowledge that your check is signed by a torturing murderer, do you still go work for him. The answer is yes for these players. Phil said as much plain as day in the Shipnuck interview. That’s not grandstanding. That’s just the damn truth.

  40. Mann wtf is a damm green jacket gonna do or how much is it worth?!? A damm pic with previous winners and a fucking plate of food!? Lol give me a break. How bout these other u.s companies that take money from the saudi’s. Why dont you give them flack about there products or just stop using them!

  41. What’s the downside? How about the terrible product they’re putting out? 54 hole no cut shotgun starts with 9 figure appearance fees is not the formula for drama filled competition. It’ll be just watching guys getting the golf part over with to collect a check. A season schedule full of pro bowls but without the all-pros.

  42. They asked Rory if the players wanted to come back. A lot don’t they don’t care 8 events 54 holes more $ they don’t care. Augusta oh well more Fam time and $ less golf. Period

  43. To me, this is like your team making the Super Bowl, but a couple of your team’s stars won’t play because they’re off playing for the North Korean league.

  44. You don’t ask the olympians why they go to Russia or China so STFU. Also when you pump gas more than likely it specifically from or indirectly from “Saudi” money. Save your BS.

  45. I’m pretty sure some of your money has come from China Rich.…your bank account has blood money too…sorry to give you that heads up

  46. I’ll take Saudi money all day. Sh*t the U.S. government do it 🤷‍♂️. The NBA lick the knee caps off the Chinese communist party right. So what we really talking about

  47. Is ESPN covering the World Cup?????.…there are literally dead bodies underneath that stadium.…you guys are ridiculous

  48. Are the Saudis crypto Jews? Is sport the last bastion of medieval chivalry that the Jews are going after? Golf the last bastion of non material medieval ethos?

  49. If you can play sports in China and take their money, you can take Saudi cash. I don’t recall Rich getting concerned about Beijing blood money. Are NBA players being asked the human rights situation in China? US athletes have been doing business in Saudi Arabia for a long time. The US corporations also love them some Saudi cash. Cheers.

  50. my only question is if they want to continue to do the shotgun start format that every player said they liked, they only have room for 6 more players. Maybe that makes sense why there name is LIV for roman numeral 54. What it they fill all the spots and say J.T wants to join do they kick someone else off since he would be a bigger name & better player than the whole field?

  51. Jay Monahan’s true colors are really coming out. Now we see what the golfers have had to deal with. Threats, sanctions, and smear campaigns. He rea!ly is a greedy despot.

  52. The USGA said they would allow exempt players to compete this year, but will reassess moving forward, which means I think they will along with The PGA of America change their qualifications moving forward. The Majors will team up with the PGA Tour.

  53. Phil, Dustin, Sergio, Reed and Charl are all past winners aren’t they? They get to come regardless. The Master’s committee are going to stick to top 50 years previous and current world rankings.

  54. I doubt Augusta will censure a winner of the Masters Green jacket…Augusta will not be told by anyone what they are going to do, and we all know that.

  55. How can they withdraw DJ, Garcia, Phil or Charl from the Masters?? They’re winners with a “lifetime” exemption. That’s what you get for winning. F’ you idiots. These guys haven’t done anything wrong. And let me tell you, not ALL players are infatuated with The Masters. The Open (not the British Open) the oldest and first Open is the one most players want to win. And NO WAY are they going to refuse them to play. The USGA are the only ones so far with some sense. The R and A will be behind them too.

I think it’s great to have a change. What’s wrong with them playing their 15 PGA Tour events and then play some different ones.

I hope they destroy the PGA now for being complete morons. Jay, you’re done son!!!

  56. In all types of endeavors ‚including sports ‚entertainment ‚politics ‚religions and free thinking ‚it appears actions like those taken by something like the Gestapo to deter the status quo is the norm ! The Land of the FREE and The Home of the BRAVE is fading into the Sunset ! »»

    1. do you go to work for anything but the money ? Why should anyone else be different ? They get no money for showing up, only for making it to the weekend. ( so 2 very good days of golf needed for that )

  57. I know that this is a very United Kingdom centric sports reference that I don’t think or expect that most people reading this will get but seeing what is happening in professional golf in the year 2022 is like hearing a partial echo of what happened with professional darts in 1993 with the split between the British Darts Organisation which no longer exists anymore by the way due to its eventual liquidation and the World Darts Council which due to legal reasons had to change its name to the Professional Darts Corporation.

  58. Has beens and nobodies. That’s LIV Golf – Average world ranking of the entire field: 100. Average age: 40. Look at Graeme McDowell or any number of the “big names” recent form: Missed cut after missed cut. Money grab, no prestige, no TV rights sold, no interest beyond initial curiousity. Personally don’t care to watch it at all.

  59. Phil might have been a fan favorite in your opinion, but not mine, ever. Furthermore, if you look at the info that has come out about him the last couple years you see he’s been pulling the wool over the fans eyes for all these years. Just like Tiger did.

  60. The PGA tour does not help a golfer swing a club, neither does it pay a salary to its members. All professional golfers develop their skill through their own dedication to practice and hardwork. For the PGA tour to act as if its members owe their lives to the PGA tour is illogical. There have been other tours that exists besides the PGA tour with players free to choose where they can play without being penalised for their choices. The only reason PGA tour are sour is because another tour is capable of offering more money and pulling away some big name players.

  61. To complain that the Saudi are the only shifty country involved with US sport leagues is rich. And this isn’t the only country this ia happening in… Qatar built their World Cup stadiums with slave labor (FIFA) and that is still happening, China hosted the Olympics (IOC), European soccer leagues take money from anyone who’s check doesn’t bounce.

  62. Jay Monahan sh!t the bed Rick – strategic blunder. Unwise to get into a pissing contest with Norman. PGA is done unless they make a deal w/ LIV.

  63. They still have so much defense against this league. The owgr points of the field will mean that not many guys will ever play any majors besides through qualifying the hard way in the opens, or lifetime exemptions if they’re not taken. That’s if owgr gives any points. If it gives none, anyone who leaves will likely never play anymore meaningful rounds of golf in their careers.

    1. Meaningful? The rounds they played today were the most meaningful of their lives. Let the golfers golf. They aren’t employees

    2. who’s to say the current “majors” remain that way if a ton of the worlds best golfers are not playing in them? LIV will begin their own traditions including major events. All about the money…that’s what started the PGA Tour back in the day too…just ask Jack.

  64. So funny you saying they can’t compete. PGA tour spent 0 and has 84 of the top 100 players. The saudis spent 3B and have such an underwhelming field of golfers.

  65. if you are taking Saudi money, you don’t care about The Masters. you take money from killers, and you have emotional feelings for a golf tournament? cmon

  66. Saudi money is blood money. Why not have a Russian Tour too? It can set up courses in the occupied Ukraine territories, right next to the graveyards of the children and women killed in heinous attacks…

  67. How much oil comes from Saudi Arabia? How many people parking their gas cars an changing to EVs? Meanwhile PGA has the Shell Open each year. Where does that money come from?

  68. Cmon Rich whats soo wrong with Saudi backed any sport activity? Dont be hypocrite, your government can sell military equipment to Saudi and you dont care for all that green money you all get to invest for allot of stuff.

  69. Well…I know that no golfer who won a green jacket isn’t excited to wear it around town. They jsut leave it in the closet and rarely to be seen again…

  70. Just imagine if USA had cut off all diplomatic relationship with KSA immediately afterJamal’s murder, PGA would be safe today.

  71. The entire world supports the Saudi’s by exporting their national product – so we are all complicit to some degree.

  72. Why do people act like American money is SO clean! I guess America hasn’t and has never committed human rights violations🙄

  73. It’s the PLAYER’S responsibility to understand THE RULES. So why the hell wouldn’t they wait to send the memo until AFTER the player’s KNOWINGLY & BLATANTLY CHOSE TO BREAK THE RULES 🤔😎 ..but I’m 💯 with you about the Master’s (& the British Open I might add) being the pivotal point ..whenever the preverbal 💩 hit’s the fan. Love your show, keep up the great work 👏👏😎

  74. I have learned in recent months is to remain calm, especially when it comes to investments in cryptocurrencies. Learn not to sell in a panic when everything goes down and not to buy in euphoria when everything goes up. I advise y’all to forget predictions and start making a good profit now because future valuations are all speculations and guesses. The market is very unstable and you can not tell if it’s going bearish or bullish. While myself and others are trading without fear of making a loss others are being patient for the price to skyrocket, I would say trading has been going smoothly for me, i started with 1.5 BTC and i have accumulated over 9.1 BTC in just three weeks, with the trading strategy given to me by expert trader Mike Howard

  75. Firstly, DJ and Garcia already have a Green Jacket, so they’re automatically qualified to play The Masters throughout their career. Secondly, you don’t have to be a full-time PGA Tour member to be invited to play because there are other criteria to get invited. Augusta National can also invite any players at their discretion to come and compete.

    1. Exactly. NO WAY the Masters bans past champions from playing and if they let them play hence other players from LIV should also be able to play

  76. The PGA Tour is a MONOPOLY! Same as The NFL, MLB, NBA and The NHL. The reason monopoly’s are terrible is because they limit options for participants, stifle fair market competition and bring out DESPICABLE GREED in their operators. The PGA just demonstrated this vindictive greed. They have now become the bad guys. I personally hope their whole elitist pyramid of lies collapses all around them. The PGA has been holier than thou for may years now. They used their players mercilessly and failed to reward them even as their fortunes waxed extravagantly due to, wait for it.…THOSE EXACT PLAYERS!!!! Now somebody serious has decided to reward those very players. Good for them.

  77. This is golf’s equivalent of soccer’s proposed European Superleague that was all about money and not about competition and fan interest and support. It lasted 5 days before it shut down. One of the major issues was the lack of relegation if the team was no good. Same problem here – no cut so no risk to the last place duffer. These guys say the PGA did not expect LIV to get 48 world class players – WHAAAT??? Where are the world class players? How many of these guys have won world class tournaments in the last 3 years? How many were expected to win majors in the next few years? Looks more like an intermediate seniors tour. I’m more interested in seeing the already billionaire best players competing to be the best in the world. That will not be the LIV Tour.

  78. I think Augusta didn’t allow woman to play for a long time so they may side with LIV😂. Also, they won it already and the others probably don’t have a real chance. Don’t really see G‑Mac winning a green jacket. Maybe Gooch but he doesn’t seem to bothered by much.

  79. Rich seems a little deluded. Is Augusta going to refuse entry to past winners who are no longer PGA members??? Don’t past winners get exemptions?? What about the fact that Augusta invites amateurs and international players who are also not PGA members? It’s true that maybe Augusta could side with the PGA but as an independent tournament they might not want to deny admittance to past winners of any kind. They have their own traditions to uphold. If they weren’t Saudis, would there be this big brouhaha??

  80. I find the assertion that most people don’t know or care about Saudi Arabia’s grievous human rights violations incredible sad. As a golf fan, I don’t have any objection to golfers playing in rival competitions, but don’t turn a blind eye to the grim reality of where this money has come from. I wonder what Kashoggi’s family make of it?
In the UK we currently have a cost of living crisis, food bank’s are seeing soaring demand and 1 in five people are in working poverty. For millionaire golfers to be complaining about not being paid enough whilst hosting this event in England seems extraordinarily tone-deaf.
I personally find LIV golf repulsive, and I will not be watching it.

  81. PGA tour are being caught out. I was totally against LIV golf but the bias attitude of the media, being driven by PGA tour messaging is making me switch my allegiance. If I see another clip of the Canadian Open and hear the comment ‘this is the best field ANYWHERE in the world’ I will vomit.

  82. I will continue to parrot this: the LIV will never overtake golf, they will either fail and the big names will return to the PGA or pro golf is done for because im not watching a tournament if i dont recognize enough names, especially if they are split between these 2 leagues. In the end, this can only hurt golf and other golfers.

  83. The PGA is going to be sued for restricting trade by the players and agents. PGA players are independent contractors. They are not paid by the PGA. If the PGA persists, and tries to treat players as employees, the players will sue for back pay since they became members. The PGA is acting like a monopoly and it’s going to lose.

  84. I believe The Masters will remain impartial. I see a huge can of worms regarding ethics in this case. Best to stay out of it and remain impartial. Everyone should be collaborating to protect the game of golf worldwide while also ensuring the freedom of choice, opportunity and investment.
